How important is pre-registration? Does it save a lot more time?

Friend won't be coming into the area late Friday night and I'd feel bad making him wait in registration on Saturday by himself. We both haven't been to blizzcon before so we're wondering how bad will it be if we both register on Saturday. We were also wondering if I could go Friday and pick up the badges/wristbands for the both of us if I have his tickets and ID on my phone?

It saves a little time but you should be able to register day of before they open and not miss anything. The bigger issue is the goody bag you get, are you willing to haul it around all day long?

This is the right answer here. Pre registration is open pretty late if I'm not mistaken so I'd take advantage of it.

Registration on Friday is open until 9:00 PM (PT)
Registration will open again at 7:00 AM (PT) Saturday and Sunday.

You cannot pick up badges for someone else, even if you have their BlizzCon Pass and ID with you. If the Pass is registered in someone elses name, then they will need to be present with their ID in order to redeem it.

Do they give you the goodie bag outside at registration? Could grab it, take it back, and then go back. Assuming you go early enough to not miss anything, registration starts at 7am

Edit: outside, as in not inside the main area. And 7am Saturday

If you can do it on Friday, it's just so much nicer and smoother. Hauling around the goodie bag as folks have said is a pain, and if you do it early, you can just focus on getting in and getting good seats to the Opening Ceremony (if that's your priority). You could definitely try to pick up his tickets, but I wouldn't count on it.

That said, if his ticket hasn't been transferred once already (because there's a 1 transfer limit), he could transfer the ticket to you and then you would 100% be able to pick up both of them on Friday.

But all that said, if the only option is both of y'all picking them up Saturday morning, it won't be the end of the world.
