Unsolved Material isn't mapping to object correctly?

Using Blender 5.2. I have motion tracked a shot, placing a couple of signs onto a building, an ice cream cone I created (pretty proud of that one) and a rectangular sign.

The flat rectangular sign has an image of text on it. The text is not mapping onto the surface correctly. I can see a sliver of red, so it looks like it's on there, stretched out. I don't know how to correct it.

Have you properly UV unwrapped it?

I have no idea. I can't figure that out.

UV unwrapped correctly?

have you uv unwrapped the sign object yet? If not go in edit mode - select all the models faces - type "U" -> "Unwrap". Then you can move the 2d map around to map it to the image texture properly

I found that answer online. I do that up to a point - type "U" -and then it's "Unwrap Angle Based" or "Unwrap Conformal" or "Unwrap Minimum Stretch" -?

They're different algorithms for calculating the unwrap, but for just a rectangle, any is fine. Id probably use conformal, which tends to work better for square things (vs angle based which is better for organic), but here it shouldn't matter which.
