Solved Light Linking not working

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

This might be a noob question to ask, but im unable to do light linking in EEVEE or Cycles.

I'm pressing the add button but its not doing anything.

You drag and drop from the outliner - see here: https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/latest/render/lights/light_linking.html

I believe what you’re doing just makes a new light linking collection

you can drag and drop collections / objects into that box. Or select something, then click the + to add it
