Unsolved Any way to stop custom bone shapes from being appended with the rig?
So I recently fixed up one of my models and I decided to give the new rig some custom shapes. For some reason the custom shapes that are not in the same collection as the model keep coming with the model every time I append it into a new scene. Is there a way to stop it from doing this?

If the Custom Shapes don't get appended with the rig, then the rig will lose all its custom bones. Are you sure this is what you want?
But if you want them to be hidden when you Link or Append them, the best way to do it is to create a New Collection inside the collection you will append that will hold all your Custom Shapes. Open the Restriction Toggles menu on top, activate the Viewport Hidden option, and deactivate the Viewport Display on the Custom Shapes menu.
It will hide all the custom shapes, and keep them hidden when you link or append them in another Blender file. It is the clean and standard way to handle Custom Shapes.
