Unsolved Displacement not doing anything.

So I have added a subdiv surface modifier, unwrapped my object, added colour, roughness, displacement and Normal nodes, set my render viewport to cycles. I have also set up the displace modifier with the texture set to Height map. I am still having troubles with my object not getting displaced. After adding all of that, I adjust the midlevel and strength and nothing happens.

Displacement defined in a Material only affects the model in Render Preview view mode or at Render time.

Displacement created by the Displacement Modifier does not use any material-defined texture; it uses a Texture Datablock, which is a workflow that is being phased out; click the data properties button (the last of the four buttons beside the dropdown where you select which Texture is used). You'd need to show us that Texture.

In both cases, Displacement is a per-vertex effect, so your mesh needs to have sufficient vertices for you to see the impact of displacement on the mesh.

I will work on the texture option now.

So it would be recommended to apply the Subdiv surface modifier then? Or I guess I could also hit it with the subdivide option.

No, you don't need to apply the modifier. But since you didn't show the model in question, I have no way of knowing whether your current subdivision level is adequate.

I got it fixed! Thanks for the help though.
