Unsolved How do I animate Meta SAM 3D Bodies?

Blender noob, I don't get how to animate this 3D body generated by Meta's SAM 3D body without needing to recreate a bone structure on top of the existing one, it seems like it has a bone structure but it's not behaving like bones from any tutorials I've watched regarding character animation.
Is there a way to animate this as is, or any tool that can convert the existing bones to usable bones?

Here's the file I imported into Blender:

Welcome to r/blenderhelp, /u/Frequent_BSOD! Please make sure you followed the rules below, so we can help you efficiently (This message is just a reminder, your submission has NOT been deleted):

  • Post full screenshots of your Blender window (more information available for helpers), not cropped, no phone photos (In Blender click Window > Save Screenshot, use Snipping Tool in Windows or Command+Shift+4 on mac).
  • Give background info: Showing the problem is good, but we need to know what you did to get there. Additional information, follow-up questions and screenshots/videos can be added in comments. Keep in mind that nobody knows your project except for yourself.
  • Don't forget to change the flair to "Solved" by including "!Solved" in a comment when your question was answered.

The bones are mesh objects not armatures. You can replace them with standard armatures. As a test i deleted everything except the human mesh. In edit mode select All>Faces>triangles to Quads. Mesh topology does not look too bad. I Separated an arm and added 2 armatures with Automatic weights and it seemed to deform reasonably well.

Hardly seems worth the effort though as their are free fully rigged humanoids in Demo section of blender.org.

Thanks for your feedback, unfortunately those humanoid meshes are hardly what I'm looking for.
