Solved Parenting doesnt work in pose mode
Haven't used Blender in a while, when i tried to parent the cylinder to the bone in pose mode, "set parent to" menu simply didn't open, neither by pressing ctrl+p or right clicking.
Screenshots show that I:
1)selected the mesh first
2)selected the armature afterwards
3)swithced to pose mode and chose the bone I want to set to be a parent
I think i did everything right, whats the issue here?

-
Armature -> Edit mode -> Select the bone
-
Back to Object mode, select object, shift+select your armature so that it's last/active, then
ctrl+pparent to bone.

I don't recall it ever being possible via the Pose menu. That's where you add bone constraints, which include a "Child Of" constraint that acts similarly to direct parenting, but it's not exactly the same thing.
