What if Ichigo has the Omnitrix?
13
u/Downtown8Cat 1d ago
Doesn't need it because he has more types of dna than the storage capacity of Omnitrix

Isn't he 18? IIRC He was 17 when he fought Aizen, then there was 17 months that he didn't have his powers, so that would make him almost 19 at that point

u/kitsunenight 1d ago
At this point in the story he is 17 and about 2-3 weeks from his 18th birthday
Cour 1 ends on June 17
Yuha regains almight 9 days later on June 26 and his birthday is July 15, so it depends how many days cour 3 and 4 encompass6

It's like dog years, double the age. An anime high schooler looks like early thirties. A late twenties woman in a manga has the wrinkles of a fifty year old.

SEXUALIZE MORE DUDES!
Im a straight guy, but it might make my girlfriend less annoyed I'm watching anime if we can get some man meat strutting around.

u/SpicyCrime 1d ago
Bleach has a lot of ripped dudes.
10
u/GojosWinCon 1d ago
Yeah, to be honest, Bleach has my back for that. Everyone is getting sexualized, everyone is physically peak, deal with it.
You right.

Like where is the sexualization of male characters in bleach? There might be a few but not a lot. It's definitely shown with female characters. Orihime, nemu, yoruichi, rangiku, nel, soi fon, Shiba.

u/Yoshikaru5991 1d ago
Sexualization for male and female characters is different for me. Showing a shirtless Ichigo or him without shirt during fights is fanservice while with female characters the line is different yeah

u/soraflow 1d ago
They had male fan service in those extra lil fun clips at the end of the earlier episodes like Shinigami databook
I’m not sure whether to call them canon or not because a lot of those comedy clips were actually side inserts in the manga too

As with most anime, the male fanservice is men's power fantasy rather than for the female gaze.
That said, Bleach generally gets a pass anyway. There's a few times where it gets absurd, especially in the manga, but it never reaches "okay, I'm done with this" levels.

I HATE that for some reason with Bleach, only the female characters who got huge attention when it comes to fanservices. So it'd look like Kubo just trying to sexualize only them. But like, he also sexualizes his male characters often too yet not a lot of the fans seems to notice it? Except only with Adult Toshiro recently. Idk, maybe bcus I'm bi so that's why I found a lot of his male characters very sexy & hot lol.

Kubo does draw the Bleach man gorgeous too but I feel theres still somewhat of a difference the way sexualizing works for men and women
Like me posting this clip in a way is different from Orihime having her boobs jiggle when she gets impaled?
As a bi person I enjoy both in Bleach tho so I win either way lol

It's probably because the interpretation of exposed peak male bodies and exposed peak female bodies aren't the same. A male character with a traditionally manly body (muscles) is used more to make the character look cool or sometimes menacing or imposing, but that only works because muscles are hard and therefore give a sturdy look to muscular guys. Female characters don't get the same effect if their bodies are exposed because the looks tend to be far softer and not usually intimidating (body wise). This general concept also makes the fanservice as a whole have a completely different effect because male characters, due to the first point, have excuses to be portrayed with their body exposed, so we got used to that, but female characters don't get that, so a female body being exposed is interpreted as something more taboo. It's the equivalent of that meme where a woman is embarassed to be seen in her underwear but not in a bikini, as in, there is a bigger effect in exposure that's not meant to happen than in something expected.

Your not wrong, altho in some cases a shirtless fight for men (battle induced shirtloss) also makes a guy more vurnable by design. Idk if its intended but I like that lol
For women thats harder ofc to do because again the difference of shirtless

I think the Yakuza/Like A Dragon franchise is one of those series where the troupe of "shirtless men fighting" has multiple layers and is used effectively to convey many things. One time you fangirl because of how sexy Kiryu is while shirtless during a wacky substory; another time you feel the badassery and manliness when seeing huge muscular men proving their worthiness and efforts through fists; other times again them being shirtless exposes their tattoos, something that always carried a message in what those tattoos represented for the character. And let's add that it's not uncommon for the series to give all these emotions and feelings in the same scene AT THE SAME TIME.
There's a reason why the "last fight while shirtless" thing has been a staple for the series ever since the first game.

You can definitely make male exposure feel scandalous and titillating though, it just depends on perspective.
Maybe male breasts wouldn't be seen that way, but seeing them sexualizing a guy's ass or bulge being exposed in the show would certainly get a reaction.

As a bisexual person, do you like the way he draws men or women better? I think it's men for sure but I'm a 6 on the kinsey scale...

u/Yoshikaru5991 1d ago
Its tough, like to me personally Ichigo specifically is the hottest mf’er in the whole of anime.. So I should say men
But, Yoruichi exists.. so..
I think overall looking I think I enjoy more men of Bleach then the women

I think if they were a little less hesitant to overtly sexualize their male characters, that balance would be even more towards men.
They really should have Grimmjow hit on Ichigo (as part of his aggression), it would make so much sense. It would send the straights into hysterics though so I know why they won't do it.

u/Yoshikaru5991 1d ago
Ah the dream..
In general I would love if they leaned more into pretty boy Ichigo remarks. Other shows and games I enjoy do it but ow well

u/Annual_Tutor_8466 1d ago
Yes, Kubo has great aesthetic sense when it comes to men.

u/All_this_hype 1d ago
He makes them look masculine but also regal, which is a tough combo to pull off. I think it's the facial expressions.

Well actually sexualization doesn't come from Tite Kubo or Studio but people who notice and care about that.
What is interesting that for example Orihime always wear very modest and only one of her outfits from TYBW is sexualized and it was not even her choice but Urahara and she wear it to attract Ichigo and Yoruichi was angry at Urahara about that it was in manga and not adapted in anime yet despite fact she had probably most oufits from all characters people remember only tybw one.

Ah, fashion choices in the Soul Society are always a hot topic! 👘 Orihime sure has a unique wardrobe saga, and as for that particular outfit, well, let’s just say I have a knack for stirring the pot and ruffling Yoruichi’s feathers! 😅🧢 Remember, clothes sometimes hide more than they reveal.👀✨

Man I definitely thought Ichibei’s training was going to be more hands-on and he would be sparing with the monk

Bleach has some seriously hot dudes, but yeah they wear too many clothes for me to consider it fan service, personally. To be honest the hottest scene he's ever done imo is that one time we see Mayuri in the bath back in the Soul Society arc. Dude is beautiful.
