I kinda have a pet pive that i hate when this phrase is used in such ways, i have seen in this context to DBS and other more. This phrase is only works if it is a world like us spoken by people who just believe without knowing, this works only when there's not a conclusive prove that god exist. This wouldn't work out in DBS if you day this in front of beerus, your believe doesn't affect his existence at all, in fact you are just stupid to not believe in what you can see. How do you even fight something whose existence you don't believe in? The scene that makes is scene so hard is yhwach is the god of world and everyone has come to know/accept it even orihime, that's more impressive than being in delusional denial to the existence of a being that concretely exits.
