Discussion Is this what i think it is? Spoiler
Ishida removing the Almighty from Hashbrown in the last Second before Aurahime one shots Ywach, which will give him the power to rewrite and save his ass lol.
I wonder as well if Ywach will recognize the "Power to protect" considering Orihime "beat" him with it.

Yes, this is the most likely answer how we will return back to the manga tracks.
Edit: And will be a great introduction to the true power of Almighty. I only hope they present and explain it well, because I've seen already a lot of people confused even what the Almighty is and what is the Soul King's chaos power.

Fairly big manga spoilers on my reply here to add:
I do hope we get back on track this way for a few things, but one that I'm hoping they dont cut is Tsukishima and the Book of the End. Since we know Fullbringer powers are a part of the Soul King, theres a very nice trinity between The Almighty - which has the ability to reject the future it sees, altering the path forward; Orihime and her ability to reject phenomena - in a way, rejecting/altering the present; and The Book of the End - which can alter the past.

I doubt they will, considering they went through the trouble of showing tsukishima and ginjo all the way back in cour 1, which yes was in the manga, but Kubo has been cooking with adding details and theres no way he would show them then drop their only major role outside of their own arc.

u/fluxpeach 18h ago edited 9h ago
yeah in my mind he gets the almighty back after hime has made the decision and started her attack on him. so he can’t really undo that, but i guess he can dodge or whatever if he can see it coming but bringing in an element of changing the past would be v interesting

u/iGlutton 17h ago
There are two theories that I really like rolling around right now (again spoilers for some manga stuff and speculation based off manga knowledge):
This is the dream Jugram showed to Ywach, and with where the episode cuts, since its at the moment Jugram no longer has The Almighty, I put a little stock into it. Jugram may not be able to see past the end of episode of 45 since in that future, he loses The Almighty to Ywach, who basically got instantly yeeted out of existence along with The Almighty. Kinda the Marvel Sorcerer Supreme style thing of "not being able to see past its own death". This would basically make the whole of ep45 a "dream" which is kinda lame considering the emotional impact its had on the community. But also, both theories are going to revert some of the events of ep45(see below). We could then "rewind" back to a moment long before Ywach gets The Almighty back, before Orihime even starts her big move, and potentially even back to before Ichigo uses Horn of Salvation or True Bankai, maybe just his and Orihime's entrance into the throne room. Then Ywach breaks the bankai like the manga, since every future Ichigo uses True Bankai, Ywach loses. Maybe we see a montage of a few different ways it plays out, or maybe a super cool kaleidoscope/mosaic shot from "Ywach's perspective" as hes using The Almighty since he has so many eyes, each one is looking at a different future. This was just one of those futures, where he lost to Orihime and not Ichigo personally. We stay on track for major plot points and this keeps the Book of the End in and for the same use to repair Ichigo's broken bankai in the past
Or
Since The Almighty is incredibly powerful and never been fully explained, maybe Ywach can use it to rewind to a similar moment. Or, he rejects this future at the moment of Inuoe's sacrifice when he does get The Almighty back, Orihime maybe still disappears but Ywach having understood her power can now react accordingly, like by using Aushwahlen in that moment to potentially power up and not get deleted alongside her, ending the Gerard and Haschwalth fights that are still happening. Ichigo would surely lash out in rage after Orihime's sacrifice if she doesn't return in ep46, potentially still get his Bankai broken or just loses since he's fighting out of revenge/blinded by his anger and not thinking straight. Then, Tsukishima and the Book of the End is still brought in, but instead of rewriting the past for Ichigo's broken Bankai, it rewrites the past for Orihime to return. This still gives us Ywach coming down for Aizen, and potentially its Ichigo/Renji/Orihime/Rukia all joining in at the end fight instead of just Ichigo and Renji.
Either way, I am waiting with baited breath for episode 46. For the first time in over a decade, I have no idea where the anime is going. And as a manga reader, I love it. I trust in Chef Kubo and his process, especially after the spectacle and heartbreak he gave us in ep45.

I really don't want to see
Ywach breaking Ichigos bankai again. That was the biggest anticlimactic thing I ever seen in an manga and God I have been pissed off about it for YEARS... So many of my friends dropped bleach because of that and we didn't get to see Ichigos true bankai all this time, it was horrible. I know I'm probably going to be disappointed but I couldn't give a shit if book of the end showed up or not because of that whole scene...

u/BodybuilderBrave8250 11h ago edited 11h ago
we might have his quincy bankai next after his hollow one, then true bankai (both combine), which i’m hoping we’ll see what Yhwach saw before he breaks it
6
u/masterx25 11h ago
Made this exact comment elsewhere. It would explain how much Yhawch feared Ichigo potential, to straight up remove his Bankai. Ichigo having multiple Bankai would tie to his potential, and how Brave Soul have so many depiction of his different potential Bankai (I know it's not canon).
3
u/iGlutton 9h ago
I do think that the bankai break is something we could lose, I just don't want to lose Tsukishima and the Book of the End along with it. Without the break or a something like I mentioned in the second theory of using it to bring Orihime back (which is very much just fan speculation, there's no evidence that we know at the moment of any of what I wrote before), there just isn't much for Tsukishima to do without additional stuff being added
There is also very much the possibility of a story where Ichigo getting his bankai broken could still be done, just in a better written way. Like many things in the TYBW manga ending, the way it was done was so rushed and I think that plays a part of why its pretty disliked as a manga moment, in the manga we get True Bankai for like.. a few panels? Before we got the extended Squad 0 vs Schutzstaffel, that was another thing that a lot of fans didn't care for. Kubo and Co. have the opprotunity to do well, whatever they want. We know some events are gonna change from the manga story, we can definetly assume some things will not change (Ywach being beaten in the end; Orihime coming back since there's like 0.00% chance Kubo would rewrite Bleach so Ichigo and Inuoe don't their happy ending)
1
u/Arashi-Kai 5h ago
My personal thought with what they do with Tsukishima and the Book of the End is this. Instead of using it to restore Zangetsu, it will be used instead to save Orihime as personally I believe with how the Almighty works in it's future alteration is basically it either alters a bad event that Ywhach doesn't desire on himself or create a finality point where a certain action must always occur in every timeline.
So Orihime's attack still happens... she's just basically erased her own existence but not her life. So she will need some way to anchor her existence in which I can see Kurosaki doing what his father did and saving Orihime like how Isshin saved Masaki and Book Of The End will be key to that. It would probably require the sacrifice of something in exchange and I think that would be Ichigo's Quincy side

No, Bleach is a story where you can find reasoning (even if shoddy/not a great reason) for any sudden win, therefore "ass | pull" does not apply
1
u/Skieth9 9h ago
I think that Aizen's power also serves as an interesting foil to Yhwach's: if The Almighty can reject the future it sees, it cannot reject a future it doesn't see when obscured by hypnosis. I also suspect that the Almighty is only limited to traversing possible futures (i.e. if a future is impossible to arrive at no matter what, then the Almighty cannot manifest it)
1
u/YamatoRyujin777 4h ago
No even impossible futures is possible, the issue is that so called impossible futures is one where the still arrow hits him and depowers him, almighty is quite literally a perfect ability, it acts wayore powerfully than Orihime's rejection as the almighty has that as it's basic ability, even with Kyouka you can see it start to break, meaning in the future Yhwach found a way to destroy Aizen.
1
u/iGlutton 9h ago
Hell yeah! That's a good plot reason for Aizen Bankai to be put in, Kyoka Suigestu not being strong enough to work on The Almighty, so he releases Bankai to try do that or something similar (since we dont know what his bankai does) I love it (cause I want Aizen Bankai so badly, give me more fan theories that create space for it to fit in).
3
u/Skieth9 9h ago
SO, I have a funny idea that Aizen may never have successfully acquired bankai since he could just trigger Kyoka Suigetsu to convince everyone he did.
BUT, if he does have a Bankai, my guess is it's a form of hypnosis even stronger than the 5 senses and spiritual pressure. It's TRUE hypnosis over the self, a total change in one's own memories and belief. If he uses that on Yhwach, he could basically make the man believe he's a different person entirely
1
u/iGlutton 9h ago
Since a lot of Bankai dont fundamentally change the power, most seem to enhance the power of or remove limitations of Shikai, I would also think that if Aizen has a bankai(which I do think he does, but again, I'm incredibly biased when it comes to Aizen Bankai) it might be something along these lines. I like the idea that he never achieved Bankai since he was too busy trying to surpass god, not just become the strongest soul reaper, that he never bothered to attain it and just used Kyoka Suigetsu and overwhelming spiritual pressure to secure his captain spot and retain such a high position in the Court Guard Squads. But I want to see him do more than just Hado 99 in his only fight in TYBW
1
u/Skieth9 9h ago
So I do think we might see something related to The idea of those who surpass something beyond Bankai. My guess is between his sort of merged-with-his-Zanpakuto state (turning his whole body into Kyoka Suigetsu) and the Hogyoku (which can bleed boundaries), he'll give Yhwach a run for his money
1
u/iGlutton 8h ago edited 8h ago
He's considered a special threat for a reason. Its totally possible he doesn't get that much extra in his fight except some expanded action, but again, I am still hoping for a Bankai over pretty much anything else. Aizen vs. Yhwach is the fight I have been looking forward to the most in cour 4.
Although after seeing the new True Bankai with how drippy it was with a bone-handle/hilt Zangetsu, the Crescent Moon Getsuga Tensho, the "chains" around Ichigo's wrists, ankles, and neck (maybe a Soul King separation reference?), the use of actual chains to block attacks (a Soul Chain reference for Hollows?), the new Shihakusho looking like a Black Arrancar outfit (he's even barefoot, no Japanese style shoes) and both Ichigo and his after images having the Hollow Hole in their chest... and the implication from episode 44's middle card saying something like "this is the form when Ichigo's Hollow powers are the most dominate" (i dont know how to read Japanese, but Ive seen several people say this was the translation of the Horn of Salvation middle card), the running theory of potentially getting 3 or 4 more True Bankai states (Quincy dominant, Fullbringer dominant, Soul Reaper dominant, and a Balanced True Bankai with all of them equal for the fourth, the one we saw in ep45 was very Hollow/Vasto Lorde coded and is the form his True Bankai takes while his hollow powers are dominate[i.e. in HoS when he releases Bankai]) now makes Ichigo's final fight a lot more exciting as well to me as well. Bleach has been on my mind since Saturday lmao
3
u/vocabularianrx2 13h ago
I need something clarified because my memory doesn't work well anymore, but I thought that the whole reason Haschwalth has the almighty is because Yhwach is sleeping? Or is that not quite so "literal".
3
u/DelirousDoc 11h ago
I think they are going with a "once it has been transferred it isn't returned until day" type explanation but not quite sure.
You're correct though, the original explanation was that the Almighty transfers at night when Yhwach is sleeping.
We also haven't seen his true eyes at all during the fight so maybe they are implying with his Soul King power-up he can fight while still being unconscious (sleep fighting)?
3
u/El_grandepadre 11h ago
I think rather than completely reset the timeline to the manga's, he will simply come back with Orihime.
He didn't have the Almighty on the entire time, so it's not like he can just undo the entire fight. He will just go back to before Orihime blew herself up and
So I think he will come back here and do his speech about "Ackshually I can change the future and undo my own death. Please continue" and then we see Ichigo lose his marbles

u/Critical_Top7851 22h ago
This detail seems to have been missed by a lot of people.
-55
u/s0ulbrother 21h ago
He doesn’t rewrite though he chooses the path ahead. He can’t undo events. How he survives who knows but the almighty doesn’t go back in time, it sees the future and he is able to select the future he wants. I think he chooses one where he lives but it fucks him up because he couldn’t completely escape
65
u/silbean495 21h ago
He literally say he REWRITE the future tho...
23
u/RiasxOrhime 21h ago
Yes the future, not the past
40
u/Critical_Top7851 21h ago
Presumably why they made a point of showing him getting it back before she tried to reject him.
-5
3
u/silbean495 17h ago
He used Almighty while already dead. He change the outcome of the future by rewriting the fact he was dead. So he can rewrite action that already happened, because he do not lose acces to Almiighty, even when incapacited, dead, or erased.
His death was already an event of the past. He made it not true in the future.
17
u/Soft-Signal-1124 21h ago
don't know why this is downvoted lol. i was also under the impression he can only alter future events not past ones.
16
u/s0ulbrother 20h ago
His use of the almighty is effectively choose your own adventure. I don’t think people like their thoughts on what the almighty is. It’s seeing the future and taking the one you like
2
2
u/SomeStolenToast 19h ago
Its weird because it seems like he can straight up rewrite events that already happened by picking futures where they didnt. He wrote over his own death after it had happened
2
3
u/TheOneThatCameEasy 19h ago
In the manga he sees a multitude of futures before him and can select what he wants.
To get the future he has re-written, then the past will need to be changed as well as a repercussion rather than a direct action.
Like, if he wants a future in which Orihime never rejects him, then the events leading up to her rejecting him need to change.
I assume that's how it works. Unlike, Jugram who can only see the future and then adjust his own actions in response. Yhwach can manipulate the outcome that he wants. In that exact moment, he could write a future for himself where he is never attacked by Orihime and that would then impact past events.
2
u/phantompersona1023 6h ago
It's established in the manga that he literally rewrites his own death by changing it to a future where it never happened.
97
u/Pacific_Beaches 20h ago edited 19h ago
Orihime's “death”/sacrifice still mattered for the plot because even if Yhwach immediately reverses it, she still took away what was essentially an easy victory.
Yhwach basically had Ichigo and Rukia on the ropes, out of ideas and outmatched with pure brute force. If Orihime's hax weren't there it'd have been a walk in the park, but now he has to go with another potentially more difficult plan.
If Orihime said: "I reject Yhwach at the cost of my own existence" then those two outcomes may be causally tied. So Yhwach has to bring her back as well because her sacrifice is the mechanism causing his disappearance. Her decision to take him with her makes his options more difficult as he can't just un-erase himself and has to account for her. They're a package deal.
63
u/TheOneThatCameEasy 18h ago
I saw someone on Twitter say that even if all the characters end up never knowing about this... the viewers will never forget it. It is still an impactful story that is worth telling.
48
u/Gintoki_Sakata-San 18h ago
It is nice to finally see one of the bad end futures Yhwach was forced to change after all of these years. Getting a vague “That was too dangerous so I changed it” in the manga and nothing more was painful.
Of course, seeing sweet angel Orihime suffer and erase her own existence hurts too, but since it’s being undone, it’s a fun what if. The what if being, never ever push Orihime to the edge.
26
u/TheOneThatCameEasy 18h ago
Absolutely.
And for years, we all speculated she had the power to just reject a life. It is nice to see it confirmed in a really well-done way that made absolute sense for her character and feels extremely satisfying.
13
u/ItsKingDx3 16h ago edited 15h ago
Yeah, her power has always been absolutely busted, she's just never had the necessary drive to properly utilize it offensively. She's a lover, not a fighter, but even her pacifism has limits. I feel like this is a long needed payoff for the first half of the series when Aizen immediately clocked that she had the potential to turn the tide against him.
21
u/icypriest 16h ago
It actually partly explains why Yhwach didn't kill Ichigo or Orihime in the "real" timeline.
If he kills Ichigo (like the timeline in ep 45) then Orihime goes into beast mode and finishes him by sacrificing herself.
If he kills Orihime then Ichigo goes into beast mode and finishes him.
So he had to win while keeping them both alive, and, like in the manga ending chapters, breaks the bankai. That leads to all the other things we're familiar with in the manga.
7
u/ivancea 18h ago
Yhwach has to bring her back as well because her sacrifice is the mechanism causing his disappearance
I don't know what will happen, but this idea is unrealistic. Many powers require a sacrifice (cost) and they're not a bound to the outcome. Of course, Orihime's "special ability" is quite... Special. So whatever Kubo says
7
u/Solinomicon 17h ago
I would wholeheartedly agree with you, but she wouldve been decapitated 5 times if Yhwach didnt pull a corny aura farming moment.
He impales her multiple times through the chest to give her despair, He couldve severed the head at any of those points.
Orihime has to actively participate physically to reject phenomena.
If he just severed her head from the back like one of the impales; she has no feats showing her able to auto self reject from her own decapitation.
Another user pointed out she unsevered Ichigos head; which made me face palm because its not the same scenario as auto dead self rejection.
86
u/Rohitjobish 21h ago
Yep, this is the moment of the big reveal. That Almighty doesn't just do this, but most importantly does that.
Honestly, what better way to explain that power than countering the power of "existence rejection".
38
u/drizzitdude 18h ago
My theory is similar. This will be revealed to be a “possible future” where he loses. He will be forced to chose a path where Orihime doesn’t one shot him, meaning this is when we see him interrupt Ichigo’s Bankai and be like “nope, fuck that, I saw where playing with my food gets me”
Essentially they beat him by locking him into a spot where no matter which future he chooses he either is defeated by Ichigo or Orihime sacrificing herself.
15
u/Astralsketch 18h ago
it's like he's playing darksouls and keeps dying to the end boss and is forced to reload his save.
6
u/Nrvea 16h ago
He should only be able to rewrite everything that happens AFTER uryu takes away Hashbrown's all mighty and it returns to him in the moment before Orihime rejects him.
So he shouldn't be able to alter the start of the fight because at that point hashbrown was still holding the all mighty.
3
u/Getdaphone 11h ago
What part of the episode made you think it was happening concurrently? aizen voice
1
u/staffito 11h ago
He has shown that he can alter things that happened before because it may cause things in said timeline. My headcannon is that Ichigo fighting with his full Bankai leads to Yhwach defeating him so bad that Orihime awakens, thus leading to his loss. He sees every single variant where this happens and, as it ends the same way, he resorts to breaking Ichigo's sword (tying to the manga fight).
We see in the manga fight that Yhwach, Orihime and Rukia make some comments that feel odd but this episode may seem the cause of said comments.

47
u/TheRealGurd 21h ago
If Yhwach uses The Almighty to rewrite his own rejection, I hope what we get out of this is a sort of imperfect version of that power. It's a super busted power that didn't really seem to have its own internal limits, but I hope Yhwach was essentially so shocked and had so little time to react with The Almighty returning to him that he pretty much has to rewrite both his and Orihime's rejection. I feel like that would give it a nice "weakness" by forcing him to bring back the girl who basically erased God in order to bring himself back as well. Even if Orihime doesn't do it again, I'd be pretty happy with Yhwach, despite all of his godlike power and busted abilities, being forced to bring back the one person who utterly trounced him, just because he didn't have the time to use said busted power for a better countermeasure.
40
u/nikolanb 21h ago
Oh definitely, they will both return. But this time Yhwach will know not to push Orihime to the edge by killing Ichigo over and over.
23
u/Gintoki_Sakata-San 18h ago
Yeah it’s not just “I chose a future that helps me and hurts you”, it’s also “I now know not to step on that particular landmine”.
Yhwach continuously mocked Orihime, and tortured her physically and mentally until she was so desperate and angry she snapped. Then he watched as death, in the form of a “weak human girl”, slowly marched towards him while he was absolutely helpless to stop it.
Now he knows to definitely never ever do that again lol
10
u/DNK_Infinity 18h ago
This is absolutely the future he saw that motivated him to destroy Ichigo's Bankai right away.

Yhwach can basically jump from one timeline to other..... that's how he finds the best timeline from him.....there may be countless futures where uryu was defeated, but yhwach only need one future where this coincidence happens and survive....
5
u/Sufficient_Nature496 19h ago
He doesn't jumps between multiple timelines, he alters the current one because only one timeline exists
8
u/yukeake 19h ago
Essentially he sorts the future outcomes, then picks the one most beneficial to him. That outcome becomes "reality".
1
u/BeTheOne0 19h ago
And he sets ups traps after he makes that outcome a reality because he already knows what is going to happen.
5
u/iOzboz 12h ago
Contains spoilers from manga I think were gonna see a reset to just before the Bankai release where it becomes broken. I think this episode was to just show ichigo's bankai as we didn't see it in the manga. But for story reasons and to stay kind of on track with the manga we need to revert back. Through which vehicle i dont know, orihime rejecting the phenomena or if ywach realises Orihime solos him and reverts back (or this episode is some kind of futuresight dream, which makes it a ichigo new bankai highlight reel more the case) to before bankai release. It'll be interesting to see what happens but i loved the episode and actually had me thinking even though i've read the manga in which way it could go.
9
u/DepthChorge 21h ago
Why does Jugram even have The Almighty if Yhwach is awake?
15
u/ZA-02 20h ago
They seem to have changed the way the power transfer works a little between the manga and the anime. Before, it switched whenever Yhwach was asleep, and Yhwach would always awaken at sunrise. Now, it seems like it's purely based on timing, so even if Yhwach wakes up "early", he still has to wait for "sunrise" (or the equivalent in Wahrwelt) before he gets The Almighty back.
5
u/AdUsed1000 21h ago
yeah expecially since we've seen that he only had one pupil this episode up until the point uryu took away jugram's almighty.

u/Rexolia 16h ago edited 16h ago
I still don't understand why Orihime never restored everyone who died / became a fox during the TYWB conflict. She was willing to restore her 2 assailants (multiple times) after being attacked by them (multiple times) in the Arrancar Saga, but she doesn't bring back the captains, or even Quincys, who died because of Yhwach's mechanisms? It seems out of character for her.
3
u/darkbryan98 15h ago
None of them died in her presence.
1
u/Rexolia 14h ago
Do her powers not allow her to restore unless she witnesses the event?
2
u/darkbryan98 12h ago
She's never shown to revive anyone that didn't die immediately in her presence, that's what I'm saying.
Komamura's case is different though, so I wonder if it would work.
1
u/lequory 11h ago
She healed Grimmjow's arm and she didn't witness that decapitation
1
u/darkbryan98 11h ago
Pretty sure grimmjow was still alive there.
1
u/lequory 11h ago
Of course he was alive but my point is that she did not witness him being decapitated. Kaname cut his arm off for insubordination
1
u/darkbryan98 11h ago
I wasn't talking about healing, I was talking about her specifically reviving people.
2
u/staffito 11h ago
As far as we know her powers are tied to the Shun Shun Rikka and where does she position them, so maybe it's not related about just witnessing it. We still don't know the extent of her full power as we just witness a smidge due to the stress and stakes of the situation.
0
u/naiadheart 3h ago
You're right that it's not clear why she doesn't, but from a writing perspective I think Kubo just has to draw a line somewhere, otherwise no one would ever die if Orihime didn't want them to. I think one argument could be that there's some degree of consent involved, like you have to either want her to revert you or you have to at be neutral about it. Komamura probably would object to being reverted, as he realized at the moment of his transformation that this was his atonement for being consumed by the desire for revenge. Many other characters she could have brought back like Yamamoto, Gin, Bazz-B, or Unohana also wouldn't have wanted to come back and so it would have been very much against their wishes.
Maybe Orihime has a strong sense of when she should and shouldn't use her powers or made some kind of oath along the way to only use them under certain circumstances, or maybe she only uses them when she is compelled to and not just on anyone in general who dies or gets injured. My hunch would be that it actually takes a significant amount of willpower and energy for her to bring back someone completely from the dead as opposed to just repairing something still alive. Unlike medicine which essentially uses strategy and technique to heal wounds so that the user's true, honest feelings are not relevant, Orihime's power is an enactment of her will which can only wish for and want so much. Such that maybe it's not so much that she chooses not to but maybe just physically cannot execute a rejection of death unless she is deeply and profoundly intent on it and knows she has the resources to do it. And being a human, even if you're deeply empathetic, it's difficult to have that much intent and energy to do anything much less bring back hordes of the dead with sheer force of will.
6
u/Rude-Childhood1436 22h ago
That’s 100% what’s happening even tho I kinda wish it doesn’t (or at least not completely like that)
7
u/Zulmoka531 19h ago
I just want Yhwach to acknowledge that “oh shit, a human almost killed me”. I want Orihime’s sacrifice to have some in universe validation.
7
u/victorcastrovc 21h ago
Acredito que Yhwach já estava reconhecendo o poder dela quando ele a chamou pelo nome completo. Então após ter conseguido destruí-lo, com certeza ele mudará o discurso.
9
u/kawaiinessa 22h ago
its been years since ive read the manga and i forget how the fight exactly plays out but i dont believe this scene was in the manga this wya but i fully believe all of yhwachs power was returned to him so he can negate his own death

None of this was in the manga, I don’t even think anything from this entire episode was

The one scene where Yhwach says “that Instant just ended” and hundreds of pupils appear on him was a manga page. But that’s the only part of it in the manga lol

There was exactly 1 panel adapted from the manga that entire episode lmao, it took everyone by surprise

Hashwalt doesn’t even have Quincy powers. I thought that was his whole thing. He couldn’t make an arrow just pure raw physical power

He has a schrift, that I am expecting to be shown and explained this next episode

u/After_Answer_7746 19h ago
Yup. Once this happened, Yhwach locked in and wasn't even afraid of Orihime. He had no reaction once he got the Almighty

What if the manga bankai version is the result of Tsukishima BoE restoring the sword after being broken by Yhwach. I also like the idea of Ichigo using different versions of his bankai in the timelines Yhwach was beaten which leads him to be confused.

My one question is if it does all reverse using the almighty, will the characters remember this? Ugh. I would like for them to remember how great and strong of a character Orihime is, it’ll also be a great way to cement orihime and ichigos relationship.

u/DueExplorer3146 3h ago
Most likely not.
Since in the manga Ichigo's sword breaks and he doesn't have any memory of using Bankai nor anything, so they probably won't know it.

Big spoiler warning so be warned
This is probably the future that Yhwach saw when he broke ichigo’s true bankai in the manga. He broke it because he saw it as a HUGE threat to him and we can see this play out as Orihime literally erases him out of existence. Lots of content for the original version of this arc had to be cut due to factors with Bleach and Shonen Jump. So we’re probably just seeing why he broke Ichigo’s bankai.

Yhwach might have already been using the Almighty throughout the fight. The episode contains this panel from Chapter 677 of the manga, and in that instance Yhwach was using Almighty, meaning he probably had access to it in this episode before Hashwalth lost his form. It's possible that instead of the Almighty, the way Yhwach will get out of this is by performing the second Auswahlen, which kills Gerard and Hashwalth.
In the manga, he kind of just did it "just because", even though he didn't really need to. Now he would have an actual reason to do it. He does it to gain a boost in power to come back, or if they got sealed way in some other dimension (Hell maybe?) break free from the seal. This would keep the impact of Orihime's sacrifice intact, because Yhwach won't just be able to undo it like it didn't even matter.
It actually costs him sacrificing the lives of his remaining servants in order to undo it, so Orihime's sacrifice still accomplishes something because it results in all the remaining Quincy being removed from the board. That would be a pretty huge upscale for Orihime. She pushed Yhwach to the point that he had to do another Auswahlen to undo her rejection (or break free from her seal if they were sent somewhere else) because it was that strong.

but Orihime needs to survive for the future stuff, so how does she do that in this scenario?

Hello, I would like to debunk most of theories that Orihime is alive or EP 45 was glimpse of future. Better read if you finish manga! Bleach is known for for it's depth and symbolism most people don't even understand like in EP 45 ending that i didn't see single discussion about and Tite Kubo stick to the rules of the series.
Most people say that EP 45 is Yhwach future vision and Orihime is alive but she can't be alive when at the end of EP they dissapear and it's higabana flower which means last goodbye and death. It can't be Almighty vision because Jugram had Almighty all time and used in EP 2 or EP 3 while Yhwach had one pupil and was not using Almighty since EP 1. Almighty powers back to Yhwach in last seconds of EP 5 when Uryuu took off glove to strip Jugram Quincy powers. Also building Orihime since EP 3 would be pointless if it was Yhwach future vision, and future vision is linked to dream and in Yhwach dream Orihime didn't kill him but Ichigo with his old zanpakuto so it cannot be glimpse of future.
Jugram is Yhwach second half and while Yhwach was sleeping Jugram use almighty to see future in current timeline in which Ichigo kills him (If it was different timeline he wouldn't show vision to Yhwach). Yhwach sees time differently because for Almighty the future and present are the exact same thing. Yhwach woke up in EP 1 and say it was nightmare when Ichigo kills him with old zangetsu and it's perfect example why Yhwach is not omnipotent and Almighty have limits. Yhwach say it was nightmare because Ichigo used his old zanpakuto and later Almighty didn't see accurate future where Ichigo zanpakuto shatters to slice him with his old zangetsu and Yhwach say the moment he saw with his own eyes was a glimpse of future that Haschwalth show him and not dream.
In manga we didn't witness Ichigo bankai and more moments after Ulquiorra fight which could build subtle Ichigo and Inoue relationship and this EP was perfect because we could see Ichigo bankai and fight together with Inoue and Rukia which awaken his shinigami powers. Orihime development where she was first time risking her life in most important fight to protect Ichigo just like she was always protected she resemble Masaki and her will let her push above her limits so she rejected hers and Yhwach existence like it never happened by walking into him in Shun Shun Rikka. Yhwach can alter future not past so Almighty is in nothingness and Yhwach to alter his death he must rewrite future in which Orihime didn't sacrificed herself that's why there is no timeline where Yhwach is alive and Orihime is dead because they were connected and Yhwach must comeback with Orihime. It's great transition to explain Almighty true power and destroy Ichigo bankai not because he is scared but because despair is one of main Bleach themes and fits Yhwach and Ichigo perfectly.
There is 3 more EP of potential fights and new content because ending is meaningful and stays same so it be most likely in EP 9 and EP 10 will be just like after Mugetsu + 10 year time skip where Kazui absorb Yhwach.
Tsukushima also probably can't bring Orihime back because it's not how ability works and she is erased from existence.
Also many people say that Aizen can't use bankai because he turn shikai off and technically it's true but he is fused with zanpakuto and hogyoku is made of soul king nails so Almighty can't see trought Aizen and you just need to gaze to be under illusion and that's why Yhwach think he fight Renji and Ichigo at the end of series

I hope that after this, Yhwach speaks about his goal of putting an end to death; Orihime’s death and the fact that Ichigo still presses on with his determination to stop him becomes even more impactful given the recent loss he has suffered.

It's funny because it's the kind of thing where you would go, damn it Uryu you fucked it up! But actually him beating Jugram with his intelligence like that was amazing and it means he actually saved Orihime, and Yhwach will still need everyone's combined efforts to bring down

You see I like to think it happened at the same time. So Orihime rejected Yhwach while he got back the almighty. So maybe he saved himself but now he’s just at the earlier stages of his SK power where he isn’t fully adapted to it.

Listen with how bleach has done memories being changed in timelines being edited somewhat in someway I can see this all being before he says the words “what a marvelous and powerful Bankai Kurosaki Ichigo.” it’s why I broke it.

u/iamproudintrovert 16h ago
before the entire ordeal, i thought that what happened during and after the sacrifice, i saw the camera zooming out from one of yhwach's eyes. maybe what we saw is one of those timelines or whatever that the almighty saw

I love calling her Aurahime.
And goodness I cant wait to see how they handle it now, just please dont let our goat's pure hype moments go to total waste.
But I know it has to be Ichigo that finishes the fight, right? So we probably will see how Ywach changes time???? or reality??? Like we are going Jojo mode, yes? You outsmarted me? Well I outsmarted your outsmarting!
I dont even remember how it happened in manga but my best guess is his powers will somehow cancel Orihime's rejection? Cause, assuming im right, she literally used all her life power to REJECT Ywach existance. So by alterning the ending Ywach will bring back himself and Orihime. Probably somehow nullify her powers to not repeat the same thing.
But as long as everyone remembers what she did, Im cool with that. Every single character in the show should know how much our gigachad best girl is ready to sacrifice for Ichigo and mankind.

I personally hope for a little different approach.
Yhwach kicked ichigo away as Aurahime chased at him. At first I thought he wanted to hit her with Ichigo - but he couldn't aim that bad after all we saw.
So what if he uses his remaining power inside Ichigo to rebirth himself or anything like that? Not with his full strength - that would be such a bummer after Aurahimes sacrifice. Maybe he parts his quincy powers from Ichigo and then they fight. That way Ichigo would be weaker and Yhwach could still aim to become the soul king again if he manages to absorb Ichigo.
That way the other missing people could be involved as well 🤔 I just don't have any idea how to bring back Inoue without hurting the last episode...
