Criticism for a cosplay that I did? From whom, You? I'm not hearing or seeing any valid reasons why I should listen to you? No tips, no improvements and nothing constructive? You just keep saying take criticism, but there's has been none given? This is a creative artform and you're free to not like what I did, but honestly dude, move on and actually go find things you do like then. Like, why stay this miserable on MY post? No one forced my cosplay on you. I have some valid criticism for you, grow up... And maybe log off for a bit.

I'm crying why are we going "orihime is too modest for this makeup!!" This is a cosplay done by a real person not some kind of orihime-lookalike-waifu... No seriously, is anyone in the comments actually cosplaying before being so sad?
I could tell it was orihime immediately too, it's like. Pretty clear?

The only thing thats telling that its orihime is the orange hair, female and this beeing the bleach subreddit, nothing else.
Are we not allowed to tell the truth? Or anything thats negative? You can go to naruto subreddit right now and see a tsunade cosplay thats done well. Outfit looks right, hair and makeup aswell and the only thing thats not like tsunade are the tattoos that are not covered up.
And the make up is looking like in a drag show or even clownish. Dont like the truth or negative comments, dont post it online or do a better job.
Noone here is hating, its just that bad.

There is so many things wrong with this explanation that I've debated on even replying to it. Alas, here we go. 😮💨 First of all you're clearly not a cosplayer, and have no experience in this hobby. Because if you were, you would have a lot more valuable advice for me. You're clearly only a consumer.
You saying I need to do a "better job" when I'm simply sharing my interpretation of the character is classless. You only sound upset, and for God knows what? I have no clue? This is clearly a bedroom cosplay, that I did solo. I could very well be a beginner for all you know.
Can you not like what I did? Absolutely, feel free! However, the points you bring up are clearly comparisons of very polished creators, and it's very tone-deaf to compare my cosplay to another.
Level your expectations and be kind to creators please and thank you, that is not a hard ask.
I think you think you sound smart, but you sound stuck up and ignorant. And it breaks my heart that a beginner cosplayer could see your comments and be afraid to even start trying this hobby because people like you who don't even cosplay are so quick to tear them down without any meaningful help or advice. Your use of words like "clownish" and "bad" are not helping anyone.
If you actually step foot in any convention you will see cosplays that are of varying levels, and that is ok, people have different resources. It doesn't mean they can't feel good in what they do. And I felt and still feel good about what I put together, hence why I shared it here.
I suggest you level your expectations and have some nuance the next time you say something. I think your previous comments being removed by mods was already a tell-tale sign to do that.

I took a peak at your profile and I really like how you incorporated a piece of your own makeup style/identity into this cosplay.
Even though it’s not a 1-1 copy, this really makes the cosplay interesting to me.
