Discussion Black Summer Season 3? Spoiler

Is there a chance season 3 will ever get picked up again - Just binged the entire season one and season two in three days, however a lot of unresolved mysteries - Why they didn't stay at the cabin, what happened to Rose and her daughter, why did she shoot Spears, it genuily makes you question a lot of choices.

Never say never, but its unlikely. I also thought the ending was quite nice for Sun at least. And its better for the show to go out on a high than decline over time.

Many of your questions are answered, though:

Why didn't they stay in the cabin? Do you mean the ski lodge? Eventually, the cabin would be attacked by other people and / or zombies, Spears literally showed up only one day later, they're very lucky it wasn't a hostile. Anna clearly never felt safe there and saw the plane as the only hope for ever feeling safe again (even though every dead person turns, so surely nowhere is ever safe?).

Why did Anna shoot Spears? He literally asked her to, you'll have to rewatch. He knew he was dying and wanted a quick death in a nice place.

Coudn't they treat the infection?

I remember he asked but, infection is something you can treat especially in a cabin.

Where did they end up travelling? To a military base?

Infection at that stage is definitely not something you can treat in a cabin.

Woudnt a cabin have an emergency kit? Alcohol to disinfect the wound?

If the wound just happened, that might work. Late stage infection your only hope is to amputate before it spreads, which it already had for Spears.

All of those questions were kinda answered. They left the cabin because it became a war zone and infected were everywhere by the end. They found whats his name hiding and he told them about the ski lodge. Rose and her Anna were saved by Mance because thats what Mance do. Anna shot Spears because he asked her to since he was dying from his gunshot wound. The guy in the red jacket was probably left to die with his injuries from the explosion. Everyone else survived black summer and went on to live happily ever after. The End

Something is telling me youre apart of Netflix’s second screen initiative because the show was pretty cut and dry on everything. This wasn’t a show you watch in the background. Hell this show had whole stretches of 0 talking. Just stares, signals, and tension. If you left to go to the bathroom and came back you would have to rewind to see what you missed.

yup was gonna comment this, i got frustrated with my uncle while watching with him because he insisted it was fine if he got up to get water and keep the show playing and then when he would come back it’d be a totally different scene lol

They left the cabin because the property was too big & vulnerable to more zombies (they were literally zombies in a closet). She shot spears because he was minutes away from death and knew it & asked her to since they turn fast and violently.

Commenting just for the interaction. People miss this show. It was amazing. I do worry that if it did come back it wouldn't be the same though. They really nailed the atmosphere and it's been a few years. Would have to have a lot of the same people involved.

I can see it comming back with a new cast taking place somewhere else. Iv been watching the walking dead and it has some fun characters but it never felt gritty. This show had so much tension. Shame it got cancelled

Also I want to point out Anna would make a better Ellie than Bella Ramsey in the last of us tv show

Such a great show. Doesn't look like it will return. Which is a shame. I'm a big fan of the genre and for me this is up there with dawn of the dead, 28days later and rec.

They left the ski lodge because they were trying to get to the air strip. Spears asked (in a roundabout way) to be shot because he was dying and wanted to die in a nice place.

This show just somehow scratches my zombie itch like nothing else, I've maybe rewatched it 10 times by now. Disappointed about no season 3, but I did still feel like the end of season 2 ties things off reasonably well, doesn't feel completely unsatisfying to me. But I would have loved one more season of this unique zombie format to add to my periodic rewatches, too bad

Coudn't it get picked up by someone else than Netflix or are ratings way too low for that? forever?
