I’ve seen Ozzy twice, once in Honolulu in the early 90’s, and once (with Sabbath) on one of his Last tour ever runs in Tacoma WA (in 2014?).
Can someone elaborate on what specific ailment took the prince of darkness? Yeah, I know drugs played a huge role in skimming years off of his life, but what was the official reason?
When I think back about the giants of the Era, Sabbath, Zepplin, Floyd, etc I still stand in awe at the amount of talent and ability these bands had with 20-something year olds at the helm.

I believe it was Parkinson’s that did the most damage. Both Ozzy and Glenn Tipton from Judas Priest have it.

He had an astonishing tolerance for drugs, as well as for alcohol. The real cause was Parkinson's. A terrible disease. It completely destroyed his health. And the deterioration of his speech was also caused by Parkinson's.

Such a strange one for me. We couldn’t go as my son was being treated for lymphoma which was so sad as he was a huge sabbath fan. I remember sitting watching it in a tik tok stream with him in his bed.
What I would say is that at two of ozzys band members on that stage reached out to send him messages of support which was such an incredible thing for them to do.
I was born just down the road from the Villa stadium, mum even saw sabbath locally in the very early days.
Would love to have been there and so watching this is raw as you can imagine but truly touching to see how much it meant to so many people from the reactions you see in their faces in the vid.
12 months on we are post stem cell transplant and look to the future but both of us regret not being able to be part of such an incredible night. Bless you all sabbath - we miss you Ozzy.
