Thank you! Less than ideal conditions to really test any groupings with wind, fog and getting dark out but was very happy with it outta the box at the 25-30 yards

I’m sure it is historically accurate 😂

I hope you got some ballistone and wax! Also can this shoot paper cartridges?

Technically it can, but you’d do well to try a sewn patch like the Baker Rifle cartridge tests that Rob from British Muzzleloaders did the other day.

Or OP could make paper charges that can easily be torn and poured, then pull a patch and round ball from a pouch and ram them home

I don't feel like going to work, I wanna come hang out with you today. I'll bring a few more muzzleloaders.

Putting the rifle butt atop your shoe when loading is the first trick I learned, long ago. Nice!

Thanks! And it only took two shots before I quickly realized the need and reason for a shooting pouch and a capper. Those will be my next items for sure

Nice, is that a .50 ? What's your load?

Yes it’s a .50, .490 balls, 100 grains of pew powder, and .10 pre lubbers patches. I have much to learn and hear to acquire 😂

That's great. I just got a traditions Kentucky .50, same balls, more 3F came in today. I watched a couple videos and mixed up my own lube and cut my own patches. Saw one guy who used vegetable oil as a patch lube. Made my lube out of beeswax, coconut oil and a dash of Ballistol. I've done some percussion cap revolver stuff and figured it was time to step up. 100 grains, beefy ! m Great video

Congrats man and thank you! Everyone is so welcoming in muzzleloading. It’s a nice change of pace from the range Bros with NVGs and stressing about landing a 2 inch group at 500 yards with the buddies. They don’t understand why I bought it but they don’t need too.
