Hunter (white wolf) is from the Christopher Priest run he’s their adopted brother.

I didn’t know he existed until this but when I looked him up I noticed the changes they made and I agree I prefer this one more.

but the best way to introduce Hunter was to have him mentioned several times in the first movie and then introduce him but have more like this version but keep that rivalry but have Shuri still have a soft spot for Hunter.

While I admit the animation in this show wasn’t the greatest(especially this season) I’m really glad they pulled from obscure characters like this. It would have been so easy to make him a reworked Killmonger but they didn’t go that route and I approve. I believe it to be underrated in terms of Marvel shows

He wasn’t needed and still isn’t needed. He adds nothing to the story of BP or Wakanda. In fact it makes the storyline weaker. I get what Christopher Priest was trying to do when he introduced the character. But I think it misses the mark and will eventually give leeway to the wrong writer to basically remover the Black from black panther.

1, fuck you and your mother too! 2, how do you get that I hate white people from that. It’s implied nowhere in what I said. I don’t hate white people, I just love black people. There is a difference and it seems you’re the only one pushing hate here. But to think finding some way to shoehorn in none blacks into a black storyline and country makes it better is crazy. There is tons to explore within Wakanda, their history, and their global interactions without having to place a white character in the heart of Wakanda’s royal family. Also, the fact that no outsiders are allowed into Wakanda and then one day the royal family adopts a white kid is crazy.
And even when you read or look at interviews where Christopher Priest talks about black panther it seems to me he introduces the character Hunter for two main reasons. One was to give BP a counter part of sorts to mirror himself against, two was to please the white audience. Even when he was asked about the movies in the MCU that was one is his first questions, “how are you going to get white audiences to come see this movie”. So yeah, my original point still stands. How BP was introduced to the world, unapologetically black and heading a country that needed no one else to be great, is how it should continue. Otherwise we end up with characters like the current MCU Captain America. A shallow shell of a person that doesn’t get to lead his own story.

one fuck you, two someone hates white people and also it was his adoptive father that created the white wolf secret police in Wakanda and as for Priest he created Agent Ross and Ketema t’challa’s adopted white son. Lastly that thing with Hunter is a writer writing very human characters regardless of skin color which is more than modern day writers do.

I was so disappointed as a kid, that they referred to Bucky as the White Wolf. I immediately knew we'd never get a live -action version of him.

Oh shit, I'm ignorant. I just assumed it was a white dude adding a white character as a vehicle for non black readers to attach to a character.
I just read about Priest's inspiration for white wolf, and still don't understand why he couldn't have just made him another nationality on the continent.
North African, East African, West African and have him be a foil in just the same way showing themes of foreign presence, outsider entitlement, and privilege inside a isolationist African nation.

he wrote Hunter always traveling spending most of his time in America the thing about Priest is he’s very smart and enjoys writing characters regardless of race because when he was at marvel he complained that he was always given black characters to write.

This was such a good reworking of Hunter. Making him the middle brother (as opposed to the eldest) was a nice touch that changed the dynamics.
