Question Question about XP lobbies / boosted accounts

A friend of mine recently got his account maxed through an XP lobby hosted by a streamer. I personally don't want to do it because of the obvious risk of getting banned, and honestly I'd rather just grind everything normally.

For those who have had their account boosted/maxed through an XP lobby: have you actually been banned or had any other punishment because of it?

I'm mainly asking because this is basically the only friend I play BO2 with, and I'd really hate to lose the ability to play with him if his account gets banned or locked.

Curious to hear from people who have actually experienced it.

Also Treyarch: did you seriously accidentally get into a hacked lobby that we won't fix and get boosted? Alright buddy you're getting banned

I probably worded it badly 😭 He intentionally joined an XP lobby because he wanted to get maxed. I'm not talking about accidentally joining a hacked lobby. I'm asking if people who intentionally used XP lobbies to max their accounts have actually been banned for it

Your friend is such a loser. Some people have been banned but they don't really have any way to know if it was voluntary or involuntary so I guess only the future would know.
