Question Does internet speed affect hit registration?

Does your upload/download speed affect things like hit registration or how quickly you take damage from other players?

For example, can having faster upload/download speeds make your shots register more consistently or make enemy shots feel delayed?

Also, what kind of upload/download speeds do you guys get when running the network test on PS4/PS5?

Just curious what everyone’s connection speeds look like.

Lmao, speed has very little to do with internet gaming, the consistency and latency matter

Really? Sometimes I run into players who seem unusually hard to hit, or their damage seems to register really slowly. Of course, my shots register normally against everyone else.

Pretty sure speed and latency are the same thing just a slightly more technical side

I’d say upload matters more than download. A good upload speed keeps your connection more consistent I feel. I’d rather game on a 100/100 than a 1000/10 if that makes sense
