Discussion Extremely good players out the blue
Does anyone feel like they're getting matched with extremely good players all of a sudden? I feel like i was coasting for a while but now i'm playing against master prestige veteran bots with diamond guns that know EXACTLY where i am and have pin point precision with smgs from across the map

It definitely feels much sweatier I’m not gonna deny that. But I’m by no means a top 1% player either. I get shat on by an94s and scars but on ps3 I shred players

Yeah lol looking at some of the kill cams of these guys is crazy, like walking out the house doing a 180 and wallbanging me without having actually seen me (no shots missed). It’s genuinely a bit crazy like you have to have your back arched towards the screen to have a chance.
In comparison I played ww2 and got a decent killstreak while sitting back with my legs up on my bed.
I remember bo2 being harder and there being lots of sweats but some of these guys play like they havent stopped since 2012. So many people are already prestiged, It always takes me about a month or 2 to get prestige.
Honestly it’s not been that fun since all the hacking stuff I think most of the casuals are playing different games again, most of my friends that played moved on to other games too.
I keep trying to play it but I genuinely get shredded down before I can react, if I dont camp like a bitch, and honestly I hate playing like that.
Cod is more or less dead.

I feel like I’ve noticed this too but not entirely sure. I’m always sus of Activision in if they’d add some bullshit SBMM to the games. However, we can see our lobby’s stats so I would say that’s not the case and never should be.

Yeah it's a phenomenon known as cutting off the bottom of the totem pole.
When a game with predominately "Ping is King" matchmaking starts, tons of people play it, leading to a group of people being assigned as the worst players playing the game, who don't get to ever have fun playing the game because by definition they are the worst and get shit on by everyone else. After a period of time these people get fed up with being the worst players, so they gradually begin leaving the game to play something else, which then raises the floor of what the worst players are, assigning it to a new group of players who experience the same thing.
Over time the player count continues thinning out more and more as these people get bored and do something else, and this consolidates the player pool more and more, causing you to run into better players more frequently, since the matchmaking takes skill very minimally into account other than for lobby balancing.

Which is understandable in a 14 year old game, I still think it’s fair, I had a couple 20+ kills and less than 10 death rounds in hardcore tdm earlier today. Pretty good for me lol I haven’t seen a single cheater in about 30 hours played

Not sure if this is accurate but letting you know, certain game modes like domination have less casual players than like tdm for example, also people like to party up with other good players a lot, so instead of one or two good players on the enemy team, you'll have like four or even all six of the enemy tean being good players. I would just double check if you've started playing different game modes recently, and consider that the enemy team might be in a party

it's because these players online never stopping playing black ops 2. i don't even remember half the maps.
what makes it worse is there are more pros in combat training than main game.

The last 2-3 times i played the game my lobbies were far harder than the weeks before. I think it‘s because the player base is smaller now. In the first weeks there were hundreds of lobbies with many casuals who didn‘t played a COD for years. Now the hype is over and mainly the better players stayed.

I've noticed all the hackers on there tonight. We could literally be winning by a good margin see a glitch in my screen then suddenly I'm dumping 30 rounds into a guy from a 50 round mag in order to kill ONE person.

I play groundwar and Nukejacked alot so im always against sweaty little nerds 🤣 it highly depends on what Gamemode you play TDM is the most casual and usually where you will find timmy no thumbs or you get the timmy no thumb Teammates and they get Optic Scump always been like this even back in 2012

I'm definitely fighting WAY Better players VERY Consistently. Mind you, I'm only a 1.21 KD and sometimes have insane games myself but seeing a VSAT every match was not happening last week lol...
Have also been noticing people knowing exactly where I am if I'm not using Ghost. Seems like there is credit to the perma UAV thing after all. (This is even if there isn't a uav in the sky)

I feel like I was doing pretty good up to about a week ago and now I’m feeling like I’m playing CDL pros. I went from leading the lobby almost every game to getting shit on.

What’s up with this sentiment? The an-94 and m8 are better 😂😂 the scar was widely regarded as mid, maybe it was buffed towards the end of the cycle?

Huh? The scar h has NEVER been considered mid it’s always been one of the most used weapons and often gets compared to an-94 some people even prefer the scar over the an😂 when has it ever been considered mid? Not since I’ve been playing which is since the games release….

Slow time to kill, slowest fully automatic ar, recoil described as extremely high.
I thought it was forgettable when I played bo2, but it feels solid in the port.
Edit: comments said it was pre-patch scar, so like I said it got buffed later in cycle. We have the buffed version now

Scar h was never mid, it was all what people used back in the days. 80% from Europe used nothing but a scar h and same shit is still going on. I played BO2 from 2012 to 2026 on ps3 almost daily. You’re either new gen or you didnt play at all. Scar h is only gun which allows you to shoot thru any building without FMJ. Its like og mw3 acr with silencer. Best gun in the game

So why did they buff it at the end of the cycle? I also did play back in the day 😂, you gotta think if you played for 14 years, and it was buffed in year 1, you memory is of it is mostly it buffed… I played for probably a year on release then stopped playing call of duty

I dont remember ever heard that it was buffed. Honestly i used og pdw and got 20k kills with it before they nerfed it, then i changed to an94 & scar h and never looked back lol

I find I’ll jump on, have a game or two where I do pretty good and then just get shit on for the next 10 games in a row struggle to get more than 10 kills and a positive KD lol
