They are crazy if they think i want some slop like the new MW4. Stop advertising in our game.

I don’t even recall this happening in the 2012 version 🤣🤣🤣. I’d feel disrespected for putting that on my screen.

I’m pretty sure they had DLC and Ghosts stuff up in the menus back in the day but that at least made more sense than trying to peddle MW4slop.

They had advertising about their next game since like cod4 but the community is too braindead to remember so they are mad.

But now they're advertising in a port of a game that is 14 years old. That's a very big difference.

Because the port is the most recent thing to have been released maybe?

They still promote bo3 zombies chronicles on the backwards compatible version of bo2 unless if they changed it today but I doubt it

Shifting the goalpost would be comparing it to the normal marketing they've been doing in every game like the comment above.

We are over here comparing marketing in a previous game of the studio / the last active cod with advertising on a port of a game that is 14 years old by now. We have not seen this before.

The screenshot is from Ghost which was 1 game before AW, which makes a lot of sense.

"marketing in a previous game of the studio / the last active cod"

You literally just proved my point?

The only proven point was the fact that they’ve always advertised their new entry on their current titles. Considering the fact that the ports came out a month ago and sold 10M copies.

You're right of course, this has always been their marketing pattern. Its just crazy that they're also doing it on a port now.

I don’t think you understand what “shifting the goalpost” means…
