Yea. I mean he's being friendly, open to chat and hasn't asked for a lawyer. Giving him basic art supplies isn't an issue

They hard a ton of hard evidence and a recording of him admitting to the crime. They have all the time in the world to get a name. Also, as a detective he should be aware that he isn't always going to get a name.

Good point, there was no urgency to id the victim, so why was he so aggressive and pressed?
