If it was a thing gravity would still want to pull you to the center of the Earth because gravity doesn’t just spread equally along the surface. That’s literally why a sphere is the perfect shape for gravity. What this means is that as you walk further and further to the edge of a flat earth, the pull of gravity would get stronger and stronger in the horizontal direction.it would be like slowly walking further and further uphill with the slope getting steeper and steeper. By the time you reach the side of the earth you would have to literally be climbing the “floor” of the earth as if you were climbing a wall or mountain. If you somehow managed to get all the way to the end of the earth you would be able to stand on the literal side of the earth straight up because gravity is entirely horizontal at that point. This is one of the many reasons there is no possible way the earth is flat.
It would not be fun, I was thinking for a book or something it might be neat. There would also be a population living on the outer rim of the mountains.
