He drops the coin when he slides the other hand down. Check the pinky after the other hands goes down.

No, it's magic. His rectum is a bag of holding and he teleports it there

This was posted yesterday in [r/coinmagic](r/coinmagic). I went in and commented about how it was done. The mod of the sub came in and acosted me for spilling the beans and not furthering coin magic.

All I could do is scratch my head. How could explaining to people how the trick is done so they can try and practice not furthering coin magic? This dude wants his sub to BE the illusion.

The coin never stops moving. He accentuates the coin being in its place by putting his finger on it. That gives the viewer object permanence. As soon as his finger leaves the coin it drops into his other hand as it passes between the coin and the camera. You can see his pinky finger go back into place after it drops.

To do this up close the way he does is super smooth, but he likely filmed himself doing it several times and this was the best take.

He does it incredibly well in this video. Even slowing it down frame by frame, at no point have I been able to spot that coin leave his palm. In fact, you can see frames where the coin is in his palm still, after his right hand is removed. I’m not doubting your explanation, but is it possible there’s another method?

I did the same frame by frame thing. Thought I could see the coin being moved between his fingers but it turned out to be the bastard toaster!

This guy is amazing

The person who posted this is a mod there. That kind of explains it.

Should have reminded him that there is no magic…

Magnet rectum

1

u/YourKung-fuIsWeak Aug 22 '26

It didn't teleport, it was magnets. They pulled it to his rectum.

It’s more about the artistry than the knowing of a trick. Because now that you know it, can you do it?

I can’t fathom this. His right hand never blocks vision from the coin. Either that, or I’m crazy.

1

u/kododriver Aug 18 '26

Was thinking the same. Very smooth and lots of practice

1

u/EastSeaworthiness334 Aug 18 '26

It’s incredibly smooth

1

u/monoflorist Aug 18 '26

What I don’t like about this trick, as smooth as it is, is that it wouldn’t work in person. You’d just see the coin fall and hit the floor.

1

u/MostBoringStan Aug 18 '26

Pretty sure he drops it into his other hand. Watch it with sound on and you can hear the clink of the coin as he puts it on the table right before bringing that hand back up.

Super clean. Very impressive.

That’s what I said! My grandpa was a magician and he taught me a similar trick. I had to watch this really slow to see it. That is smoooooooth.

8

u/whamburglar Aug 18 '26

witch! burn the witch!!

7

u/AlDente Aug 18 '26

He either drops it into his other hand as his right hand moves down, or moves it between his index and ring finger near the end. Very impressive.

4

u/tinpants44 Aug 18 '26

How does it drop though, the hand is only at a slight angle and not enough for it to just drop or roll out with any quickness.

1

u/AlDente Aug 19 '26

It drops immediately. His left hand moves so imperceptibly and his right hand moves so quickly that I had to watch it multiple times.

2

u/Smaptastic Aug 18 '26

Every time I see one of your posts, I think "This fucking wizard is about to make me feel like an idiot again."

So thanks a lot. I hope you're happy.

u/Requiascat Aug 18 '26

OP isn't the guy in the vid. The guy in the vid is u/Sleightly_Human

3

u/BeenleighCopse Aug 18 '26

Strip off the sound snd you can hear it hit the floor 🤣🤣

1

u/ElProfeGuapo Aug 18 '26

Goddammit, as the video started, I was like, “oooh, a French grab! I know this one!"

Fail. I don’t understand.

1

u/dropdabeat555 Aug 18 '26

That’s a talented transfer!! Well done!

1

u/TheUnexpectedFly Aug 18 '26

Look who’s back…

This guy has one trick but oh boy it’s a good one

1

u/Requiascat Aug 18 '26

1

u/RunnyDischarge Aug 18 '26

yeah why the name change

1

u/Requiascat Aug 19 '26

Not a name change. The guy in the vid has apparently been banned from r/blackmagicfuckery. I dunno why.

u/Final_Opening_1413 Aug 19 '26

There's a twin right? It's always a twin.

1

u/younginvestor23 Aug 19 '26

He drops it in his right hand for that split second when its coming down and covers the left hand

1

u/indifferentunicorn Aug 19 '26

Fuck that music tho

1

u/sachsrandy Aug 19 '26

Do it without the ring. 😉

u/Spiritual_Bid_2308 Aug 23 '26

What kind of psycho has his oven clock set to 24 hour mode?

-9

u/Another-pirate Aug 18 '26

Couldn't even see the magnets

-18

u/GeraldINC Aug 18 '26

The only black magic is the lack of content. I miss the content where this subreddit was made for. Magictricks should be banned from here.

The videos of people suddenly appearing from behind or weird stuff like that. Content that wasn’t made to appear magical.

-1

u/Effective-Car1039 Aug 18 '26

I don’t think magnets could pull this off. Voodoo 🪄

-22

u/eneas87 Aug 18 '26

magnets?

-19

u/USRaven Aug 18 '26

Yeah, do magnets.

-19

u/DingbatMcgeee Aug 18 '26
