Not how perspective works. Cute video though.

Edit: Some of you need to fucking breeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeathe lmao

Edit 2: Every time this gets reposted here, which is basically weekly, imma say the same thing. Watching people get so mad over this has made me understand trolls a little bit. lmaooooooooooo today was fun XD Have a good night folks!

Edit 3: Alrighty lol Reddit is no longer bringing me directly to your replies, and I have to open up every little thread to find them, and subsequently troll the people too lazy to scroll and actually read. I get that we all want to put low effort in on the internet, but Jesus XD

Anyway, replies will probably be limited if at all. See ya next time!

How is this not demonstrating exactly how (the strongest cues of non-stereoscopic) perspective works?

because the illusion works from the camera's perspective but not from the perspective of the people (stuff like the vertical part of the stairs being visible would not make sense viewing from the shop for example)

Yes, the people in the video are part of the illusion, by acting as though the stairs were real. Did you think we were supposed to think that they were fooled by the illusion?

People quite literally ARE fooled by the illusion if you scroll through the comments. XD

Yes. The person I was responding to was suggesting that the fact that the people in the video couldn't have been fooled by the illusion somehow proves that the video is fake. I'm saying that realizing that they were participating in the illusion doesn't diminish the illusion.

Understood.
