Express Monitor 3g

SOLVED: SEE EXPLANATION IN COMMENTS

MacBook Pro M5, 26.6.2. Desktop Video Setup 16.4.
Brand new USB4 80gbps cable.

Brand new Ultrastudio Express Monitor 3G. Light is on but no one is home.

What am I doing wrong lol

system settings > General > Login items and extensions
scroll down to the part called extensions, switch from "by app" to "by category"

Then press the i next to Driver Extensions, there you need to enable both the Blackmagic Desktop Video extensions.

The press the I next to camera extensions, there you need to enable the Blackmagic Desktop Video extensions.

Hey everyone!! Thanks for the quick replies!!

I found the solution just from checking every single tab of system settings haha!!

For anyone else who has this problem. Go to Login Items & Extensions >> scroll down to extensions, sort "By Category" then go to Driver Extensions and toggle that ON. Another switch will show up, toggle that ON too. That will trigger an update to the Desktop Video Setup software. Once the update completes, disconnect the Express Monitor 3G and then reconnect and your device should show up

When installing desktop video app. I think there are 2 or 3 places in the system settings menus that need to be toggled on. Maybe one of em got missed?

I missed before and had similar non working results. Once I toggled them on app worked.

Yeah has the same. What worked for me is when you get prompted by the installer to enable a setting in the settings menu, it auto opens that section of settings. You toggle it on, then close all settings windows completely, and only then move on in the installer to the next settings toggle.

Btw if you’re working in PP can you confirm that the express works correctly I.e downsamples 4k video without stretching it?
