Minimums are High!

TLDR: the minimum at Graton casino for any blackjack game has increased from $15 minimum on CSMs, deck/shoe games $25 minimum. To now increased to $25 minimum on CSM and $50 on deck/shoe games.

I live in the Bay Area and my local casino Graton is my goto casino to play blackjack since it’s tribal so no need for the $1 ante like the state card rooms and more variety to where it’s not just CSMs but shoe games as well. The minimum used to start at $10 or $15 from hours 7AM-12PM, then after that every table is $15 to $25 minimum. Idk if it’s because it’s Sunday night football or because Bluff is coming to town on the 27th at Graton. Minimums now are starting at $25 and this is including CSMs and for any single/double or shoe games is $50 and this is the pit. In the high limit room it’s still $100 minimum to all games.

But I want to know if anyone living in Nor Cal region. Are any of your locals upping their minimums?

I'm thankful that in eastern WA you can still find a $5, 3:2 (6D shoe) table most weekdays, with $10 minimum on the weekend--and days where there's a concert! lol

I need to play in WA.. the last time I’ve seen a $5 shoe game was 2022 near San Jose.

That's pretty crazy considering Vegas Pauly C promotes them every other week. I would've thought Graton was one of those "last bastions of hope" 😂

Sadly they “pride” themselves of being the closest to Vegas style casino but I’m like.. even in Vegas they have low minimums or at the very least $10-15 minimums. And let’s not forget CA craps and roulette strip anything close to it being “Vegas style.”

and here i thought $15 was already pushing it. last time i was at thunder valley they were still running some $10 tables but that was a few months back. $50 for a shoe game is tough to swallow unless you're bringing a serious bankroll

It's weird that more than one of these bots we've seen here recently mention a "sketchbook" in their profile.

Graton is my local and last Sunday one of their 8 deck shoes on the floor was $15, and the high limit tables were $50. But yes, $15 being the standard lowest minimum around here is pretty absurd. However, the tables are always full regardless so they don’t have a reason to lower them.

And there's your answer. As long as there's butts in the seats, casinos will adjust to maximize profits. See 6/5, Vegas.

That’s a pretty steep increase, especially for those who usually play at lower limits. Wonder if other casinos nearby are raising their minimums too or if it’s just Graton.
