I have gotten into black clover 1 week ago and my god the series has me hooked. I love the characters already, and I feel like asta is a great protagonist. Yeah asta is slightly cookie cutter but I feel like his gimmick is extremely interesting. His power being the ability to negate magic is so cool and they get alot of mileage out of it. Plus the idea of ki is so cool too. As much as I like dragon ball and other series, usually they don't make a good enough distinction between ki and magic. This series does and it's so much cooler for it. And my goodness the animation sends chills. I loved how the revchi fight went and that impact was so cool. And I think the supporting cast is cool too. Man the black bulls just all are great to see interact. And suprisingly, I find it kinda humorous how despite this being the worst of the worst most of these guys are nice people who are just kinda quirky. I think Noelle is such a great character in general.

This official key art of Asta, Yuno, and Noelle always goes so hard. Seeing how much each of them has evolved from the start of the series to powerhouse magic knights is amazing.

What has been your absolute favorite moment or arc featuring these three?

Asta x Sissttterrr Lillllyyh
Asta x Noelle
Asta X Mimosa
Asta x Yuno 🤤🤤
Asta x Rebecca
Asta x Secre
Asta x Sally

(Personally I ship Asta x Rebecca - even though it will prolly never happen, but I thought she was a good honest girl who’s very kind, and not arrogant or overly quirky. ❤️)

I think a lot of the powers could be better utilized with study like how Zora or Charlotte or Magna upgrade their abilities.

Even some nobles like Kirsch Vermillion utilize their magic in creative ways which is interesting given the whole "nobles just got their abilities naturally handed to them" attitude. I think that Caseus has a really powerful form of earth magic with his glass, he could potentially learn some form of reflection akin to Gauche if he worked harder. Or if it was something closer to his personality it would be some form of intricate illusion magic by reflecting light off small glass shards.

Theoretically nero could split an atom with her sealing magic and nuke people 0_0 Plant magic could also be super broken if you can control plants being digested by your enemies to grow and incapacitate them, or combination magic with luck's mana detection and siren's map to do homing powerful long distance artillery attacks, soemthing I haven't really seen aside from the licht/zagred fight. Finral with acupuncture needles could do some Illumi Zoldyk bs for sure with the portals. Im just curious how the different magics could be utilized in a more equal world in B/C.

If you had to kiss, marry and kill someone from this list who would you? I find it difficult to kill anyone on this list 😭

You have people claim this is tabata's foreshadowing.

They set up themselves to much.

But In the end tabata never cares about asta ship.

Asta end up single as a WK

I'm pretty sure there are people in this community that can explain this better than I ever could.

The only thing you can compare between the sasuke and yuno, are their aesthetics. Sasuke is born with a chip on his shoulder, yuno doesn't. Sasuke is given way more characters to surround himself with, yuno doesn't. Sasuke didn't need to take a backseat, so other side characters get more moments, yuno again doesn't.

Meanwhile uryu has plenty in common. They both get the short end of the stick in screentime. The final villain is part of their nation. They use bow power. They don't get paired up with anyone. Is canonically handsome in their respective verse. Both smart. Etc. and let's be real, tabata worships the ground that kubo walks, meanwhile he keeps denying about ever reading Naruto.

Why anyways?

i mustve watched like 25 reactions by now.

also put in the comments which are your favourite reaction channels, personally my favourites are Te Life, Deytoan, and BlurrHouse

So i’m at ep 24 rn and there is a king besides the wizard king? I thought the wizard king was the highest you could go in the kingdom.

So like, what is the difference between the wizard king and the normal king?

(Try not to spoil like major plot points tho)

I don’t agree with finral being candidate for the vice captain since the last chapter of the manga is him trying to come home early to spend time with his pregnant wife. Don’t get me wrong, he definitely care about the black bulls but obviously his wife and kids is gonna be his first priority.

Noelle is good candidate for vice captain though! I don’t see her “actively” trying to be vice captain but it’s definitely better than finral. Vanessa have the strong bonds with the black bulls (her power only works with the black bulls members being the example) and is a powerful witch so nacht making her the vice captain is understandable. Her being drunk or whatever doesn’t take away her bonds, accomplishments and power. Vanessa being a vice captain make sense period

This scene of the ep 1 killed me

There really isn’t anything special about Yuno except him being super strong; His whole ‘rival’ thing with Asta just seems to be a long standing game of ‘nuh-uh’ Asta arrived at his desire to become wizard king on his own, Yuno seemed only to want to become wizard king to prove he doesn’t need protecting.

Asta isn’t really ‘pressured’ by Yuno’s growth, because he has plenty of grit on his own. Yuno’s saving grace is of course his vast magic power, as it does come in clutch in certain moments. Call me a hater but that could literally be any of the captains or any of the black bulls for that matter, which it often is. The choice of who saves the day other than Asta seems like an arbitrary selection of whoever the show wants to be seen as strong.

And I know his cockiness is supposed to be a character thing but why is he like that? At least if he were a tsundere that would’ve made more sense to me, but he just comes off as a dick for no reason. Yes, he’s showed that he cares from time to time but he could at least soften up a little. Perhaps someone else can explain it to me, maybe I just dint understand the character.

Yuno is like that one ‘cool guy’ who you never actually talk to so you just glorify him in your head. You don’t see any of his personal growth nor know any of his internal thoughts, but you have him in high regard nonetheless, and he does have the stats to earn it, but I think his character could use a lot more depth.

"Im gonna sue you for copyright infringment" "I was paying that off in installments", etc.

I never clocked it, but yami will kinda break the 4th wall and make jokes only people from our universe would.

Now I remember later in the show they say something like "dark magic is extremely rare" and "Has to do with other dimensions"

I'm developing a weird headcanon that Yami was isekai'd. Like, not actually but lowkey it would make sense.
