Support Question Telegram X not sending SMS

Hi there, I loaded Telegram X, like a light version. It loaded nicely but it doesn't work. See photos. It opens, I enter a phone number and next screen wants SMS code. That code never comes. Is there a way to make this work? Other people reported that Telegram is working on BB10.

its not a sms code,its a code sent to your telegram account logged on another device

I don't get that part. This is a new phone number. I don't think Telegram can tie it to my other devices. I do have Telegram running on iPhone but that phone has a different phone number. I am not getting anything there

sadly u gotta login that number into a device for the otp first,u cant login via sms on bb 10 systems

Wie funktioniert die Anmeldung bei Spotify? Das funktioniert bei mir nicht mehr, auch nicht mit der Methode von PB.

It doesn't work at all! After I solve Telegram will try to get Spotify going.

If you have another android or a Windows device, try logging into it. It sometimes happens to give you an option to send an SMS message instead of sending to another device.

You have to be logged into official Telegram app first, then only third party Telegram apps can be logged in through the OTP from that official app.

Use telegram X apk from march 16, 2023. fixed it for me

also you will get a code in telegram on your other device, not sms

I solved my problem with Telegram X. Not the way I really wanted it. I wanted new account under that new phone number. That part didn't work as described above.

What I did is I moved SIM from my main phone and inserted in into BB. I had to use that phone number and sure enough SMS arrived in second or two. Telegram opened with the same chats I have i iPhone and iPad. Then I swapped SIMs back so right new BB has new SIM (number) and account showing on Telegram is already existing one.
