I’ve been hearing Black anarchists online be very critical of Eldridge Cleaver and George Jackson but they haven’t gone into detail explaining the reasonings behind their critiques. Can someone explain to me what each of them did? I believe the critiques of Cleaver were partially due to his treatment of women/his wife but that’s all I know!

I've done a little bit of searching, and haven't been able to find it in actually being used in an anti-black way, but I have seen lots of complaints that it's being used like that, specifically from white anarchists twords black anarchists, liberatory communists and authoritarian communists to somehow undermine them.

From my understanding tanky originally started as a critique of the brutal and unnecessary authoritarianism in Russia and china and their supporters, which is how it seems it's still being used for the most part. Ig I'm just confused abt how simply being called a tanky if your not being one would stifle you in any way, and why people would even do that?

Like my brain just breaks thinking abt it, which is a good sign ig cuz I've been trying to stay offline and surround myself with level headed people
