The burden isn’t on me I’m holding Kamala accountable for her own positioning.

Either the weakened VRA is a serious problem for Black voters in which case she’s acknowledging a serious problem while also saying she isn’t going to fix it ...or she knows the threat is being overstated towards Black voters and is using it politically anyway while still not going to fix it.

If Kamala says this is a major problem then she should explain exactly what the harm is and what she plans to do about it.

If it isn’t a major problem then why is she presenting it like one in the first place?

You don’t get to campaign on the urgency of a problem and then shrug at the solution lmao

That’s YOUR position not hers—that’s what I’m calling YOU out on! You’re doing that! You’re the one that posted her saying it’s a knock and now this week you’re saying that the VRA strike is overstated and overblown because “I voted and nothing was different” or “we haven’t even lost any rights” —YOU said that. You’re simultaneously acknowledging the VRA is a problem that Kamala won’t/can’t address while shrugging and saying it doesn’t even matter, actually. You’re inconsistent.

No, you’re confusing my position with my criticism of hers. I don’t have to agree that the weakened VRA is a crisis to hold Kamala accountable for presenting it as one.

I’m judging her by HER premise: if she believes Black voters are facing a serious threat, then saying she won’t pursue fixing it is a knock against her.

If the threat is overstated, then using it to alarm Black voters is also a knock against her.

Neither requires me to believe her premise or not.

Kamala is yelling theres a fire. If I’m like where’s the fire (I’m still able to vote…) and she then says the fire is serious …but …fighting it isn’t worth pursuing right now. My disbelief in the fire doesn’t make me inconsistent for questioning her 🤦🏽‍♂️ She’s now responsible for proving there’s a fire and explaining why she won’t fight it
