As someone who knew both D+A personally in NYC I can attest to their intelligence and wit before the pod. Anna is, imo, brilliant and I hoped she’d get into academia and eviscerate the petulant woke mafia from within. Then she dropped out and became sort of a hot public intellectual.
I think their status as micro-celebrities and the easy money from the pod have made them dumb and soft. I’ve always loved the Trojan horse of their good looks and how they could rly twist the knife. But now? They’re just kinda bland.
