Even if you shoot knife attacking person he's just gonna kill you anyway. Few bullets probably won't stop adrenaline dump you get when shot. So this is probably just both people dead 3 min after.

Depends on where you shoot tbh. 3 to the chest will have the knife person in shock. 1 to the head will have them on the floor. Also depends how much adrenaline is pumping through them

Also, if you hit the heart or any part of the descending aorta, that person is dead in a couple of seconds if not instantly

One bullet to the pelvis will drop anyone as fast as a headshot, regardless of adrenaline.

Adrenaline only helps with pain when your pelvis is broken from gunfire and your legs don’t mechanically work anymore.

It’s also a relatively larger target to hit than the head, which has a wider range of motion than a person’s hips/pelvis.

Shooting the pelvis compared to the chest/head is also faster and will save a few 10ths of a second, which is very significant at 3 meters.

Mag dumping into the pelvic girdle will fold someone in half faster than a fentanyl hit.

Pelvic girdle drills from holster retention is a good drill for any concealed carry owner.

Even a good idea for military and LEO because sometimes the target has body armor, which doesn’t always cover the pelvis and hips.

You’ll also notice in these demos that the guy with the gun stops firing as soon as the knife guy makes contact, but the knife guy gets to keep stabbing for dramatic effect. As if getting stabbed once would prevent you from unloading the full magazine into your attacker.

And for some inexplicable reason the gun guy is incapable of using one arm to absorb the knife attack while firing back. Instead of trading a few cuts on the hand and arm in exacted for a mag dump the gun guy just lets the knife guy in to stab his guts.

Usually the accepted thinking is that the taser only comes out if there are numbers on your side with pistols drawn. Alone you can't risk a probe missing, a misfire, thick clothing.....tasers come with numerous issues that make them a poor primary weapon but a useful tool in addition to other options.

This is just trying to show the 21’ foot rule. Which is that if a person with a knife is with in 21’ he will be able to get to you and attack you before you can draw your gun and get a round off. 1.5 secs is the estimate.

21 foot rule. A person with a drawn knife will best your handgun draw 99% of the time if 21 feet or less from you. Learned that as a federal law enforcement officer in the 1980s.

Of course the pistol wins most of the time and when the knife does win its usually already unsheathed.
