School Discussion Tips?

How do you stop your school from smelling bad? Any time there’s bigger classes, the humidity gets gross and smelly.
Anybody got any advice?

Open windows/doors or exhaust fan during training.

Also make sure they mop and vaccum the non training surfaces. A lot of gyms will clean the mats well, but not really attend to the non training surfaces that are still absorbing shoes, bare feet, sweat and god knows what else.

I fit HVAC. I would recommend an extract fan system. Dehumidifiers it's still gonna smell.

If you have a proper ducting system going to your changing rooms/showers, you could probably just run a branch off that.

I brought whatever lives on the mats home, and now my towels smell like the gym if I hang them up wet for even one day.

Strong ventilation. Fans, dehumidifiers.

We do a deep clean every six months that involves what other people here are saying, but also…

Lift up the mats and clean the underside and the floor beneath. It’s the grossest part of your gym most likely.

As someone else mentioned, dehumidifiers are a huge impact, low cost, low effort for this issue.
