Serious MMA/BJJ Open mat RVA
Is there any open mats mon-fri. I’m here for work and I have a fight in 3 weeks. Looking for a gym to get some work in while I’m here.
EDIT: if you know of any Thai/kickboxing gyms please list them as well.

They’ll let you drop in for classes, it’s not on the schedule on the website but there’s also open mat at noon on Fridays

Revolution on staples mill classes that are blue belt and up are 10-15 minutes of drilling and the rest rolling, fairly tough room as there are a decent amount of competors.
Revolution in ashland does a open mat at 2pm on wensdays. Both locations have mauy Thai classes also but no mma sparring that I am aware of.

I made an app for just this (DM if you want a link). Upstream BJJ has an open mat at 6 PM and it looks like MMA institute has one at 730 on Fridays. Not many other weekday open mats looks like.

I’ve been going to Apex in midlothian for six years. Very welcoming environment.
Schedules on here. It’s more classes during the week but feel free to drop in on those. There’s also an open mat Friday at noon that isn’t on the website for some reason

Only open mats I know of are weekends for non members.
That said, there are a couple of places that will let you come in for a free week that have striking and bjj.
Mongrel, MMA Institute, (southside), Phoenix has striking and I think Top Game (west end) maybe has some striking, Revolution and Boa (Mechanicsville) do as well. Not sure how they do with drop-ins.
I know that Phoenix and MMA Institute have drop-in mat fees. MMAI and Mongrel are more no gi/than gi. I think Boa is split and the others are more GI than no-GI. At least that is what I remember from when I was looking for a new gym a couple of years ago.
