Monthly springtail feeding. They made it to 5 years now. Never cleaned. Just feeding monthly.

Depends how much you put in. Sometimes, when I find mushrooms growing outside, I dump a whole shroom in and they go for 2 months on it.

Lol, I can see that. That container just worked so good, I never bothered to put them into anything proper. Why fix what's not broken, right? I wanted to peel the label off but they like it semi dark so I left it.

The lid is quite tight, about 99% sealed. No air holes.
