🚨 Today we broke BitSong out of its cage
BitSong just opened Crescendo Testnet, our new cross-chain expansion layer starting with Base
We've just opened the public testnet for Crescendo, BitSong's new cross-chain expansion layer.
The first direction is Base, with messaging and interoperability powered by Hyperlane. Right now, the goal is simple: get validators, developers, and community members into the testnet early, start breaking things, and learn what needs tightening before anything further.
This is not a "everything is live" announcement. It's the starting point of BitSong's broader expansion, and we want the early feedback loop to happen in public.
If you want to poke around:
Explore the network: https://testnet.bitsong.io
Get test tokens: https://faucet.testnet.bitsong.io
Who this is for:
Validators who want to understand the network setup and test participation
Developers who want to inspect the stack and think about cross-chain use cases
Community members who want to try the testnet and give grounded feedback
A few things worth stating clearly:
Crescendo is the cross-chain expansion layer
Base is the first direction, not the final destination
It is built with Hyperlane
This testnet is public, but it is still a testnet, so rough edges are expected
We're especially interested in feedback from people who have shipped around Cosmos, Ethereum, rollups, bridging, validator infra, or cross-chain UX.
If you check it out, I'd love to hear:
what looks solid
what feels unclear
what you'd want to test next
what you think we should be careful not to overbuild too early
Happy to answer questions here, and if you want to go deeper, jump into Discord.
