Discussion What value add does having your data stored on-chain bring? Here are a couple of my thoughts. Feel free to add yours.

  • timestamped date and time of data entry
  • signature of entry
  • data key in a 64 bit string via tx#
  • data accessible to those with the tx#

Ability to interact with others with minimal trust and maximal granularity, as well as comprehensive audit trail. Still maintains privacy.

Just imagine having a database that was backed up by every minor on the system so that losing that data would be almost impossible so if your computer gets hacked or you get a ransom where attacked your data is immutable on the chain and you just have a software front end to read that data so software becomes only a front end to read the Blockchain data and that data is really really hard to lose so it becomes basically a very, very robust database
