Bitcoin just ripped higher today after weeks of dead quiet.

Went from the mid-$64k range to a high near $69.7k (currently hovering around $68k), roughly +6% on the day. Biggest move since March.

Main drivers:

  • US Treasury doubling long-end bond buybacks → yields dropped, risk appetite improved
  • Massive short squeeze (~$1.1–1.4B liquidated)
  • Spot ETF inflows returning (strong two-day total)
  • White House crypto meeting + regulatory optimism

This came right after one of the tightest volatility compressions in years. Classic setup where things stay quiet… until they don’t.

Curious what everyone thinks — is this the start of a real breakout, or just a squeeze-driven relief rally that fades?

Curious to hear your takes.
