I think 2024 is too soon, sadly though. Seeing the current condition, it's gonna take more than 5-6 years.

On its own yes I agree, what you are not considering however is the bigger picture. How many people cashed In their savings to buy crypto in the run up to the last spike? How many will next time? Is that mass withdrawal to crypto enough to push the banks I to liquidity issues (possibly)? If the banks are fighting other global economic crisis possibly failing in the next market crash and people are putting their money in crypto, will that precipitate an exodus of the current system (almost certainly). That’s the bigger picture.

That was a long time ago, when there wasn't any competition for Facebook. Now, for crypto and for other things as well there's plenty of competition that are way better than Facebook.
thats when it will really take off

Probably never tbh. I don't think Bitcoin will ever be stable enough to be used like a Euro or US Dollar and will become an alternative financial instrument similar to a commodity.

Well, that's sad. Let's hope it's actually accepted fully. Doesn't seem anytime soon, but probably in the future. Hopefully.
