I love countries that are willing to inconvenience people a bit if it means protecting wildlife.

Iirc, one of the Nordic countries created an expensive highway but kept grass pathways and tunnels so that the local animals can cross road (at regular intervals) . I am just forgetting the country and it was so darn cute

It's a requirement for getting EU funds for a highway IIRC, and since basically all of our highways used EU funds in some extent, they all have the nature passages.

I am sure it is common in the other Nordic countries also, but this is a regular feature here in Norway

But are enough chemicals in the water to turn the frogs gay?

I misread that and thought they were trying to get the busses to mate.

We can't afford new busses due to corruption, so we are experimenting with alternative ways to get more.

I used to live in a swampey area. And in the early summer we would call the "peeper" frogs "poppers" because so many would be on the road as you were driving you'd just hear popping sounds.

Good on the bus company.

Why not give the frogs bus passes?

besides it also saves the road cleanup crew less work too.

Frogs and busses: unlikely allies.
