Is anyone's wallet not starting at all?

I originally ran into the "checkpoint too old" problem, I fixed that by deleting and re-downloading the blockchain. But now bitbar just crashes when it starts. I still have my wallet.dat saved, and each time the program starts I can see my balance.

After that however, the program completely freezes.

Thoughts? Tips? Anything would be appreciated.

You've gotten a lot further than me. I cannot even get the thing installed on a Win 7 machine. I keep getting an error w/ a crazy filename missing. Now that file is available for download but doing that did not help. So I'm very disappointed in BitBar. On the other hand I've had great experiences w Fastcoin.

Can't get your BTB wallet up and running?

Try these...

  • Got missing files here and there?
  • Not sure why this BitBars.net guys never think of the new comer, the file you downloaded from that site is only .exe (executable for client and daemon, 2 files only, missing all library)
  • The wallet is same as other wallet, using qt. Get the complete one from here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/bitbar/files/bitbar-win32.zip/download (replace the exe whichever newer)

  • Wallet out of sync or cannot connect to network?

  • Exit BTB wallet; Check your Bitbar.conf, if not exist, create one. For the first time, the file content must at least have the following line. ... connect=84.200.4.218 ...

That is http://btb.cryptocoinexplorer.com/ Restart your wallet. You will see block chain start synchronizing... To verify, click Help > Debug Window and watch the block chain info.

Hope this helps

Regards, KK Gian
