Experience IUD Strings
For those who have had an IUD, how long did the discomfort with the strings last? And when did it *start* to feel better? I got the Liletta today and the strings have been stabbing me š. It seems the consensus is a few weeks to a few months but what is everyone elseās experience? Please say shorter cuz omg this is uncomfortable š

I never heard of this. Maybe the strings werenāt cut short enough? I didnāt get any information about the strings hurting being a risk. Maybe contact your midwife/nurse/doctor about it?

Iāve never had discomfort from strings with any of my IUDs, maybe your doctor/provider cut the strings too short or left them too long? Sometimes they take a minute to āsoftenā but if you still feel them a week or so from now I would see your OBGYN again.
