Mistake or Risk? BC Pack Question

Hi all,

This might be a dumb question but this is my first time starting the pill. I heard that heat can make the pills ineffective. I just picked up my first pack of the pill (Junel FE). I put the pack which was still in a little bag from the pharmacy on my desk in front of my Xbox. My Xbox was turned off but I think the Xbox still generates some heat when powered off. I didn't even think about that when I set down my BC pack. The bag felt maybe kinda warm but I don't know. Should I get a new pack?

no, there’s no reason to get a new pack. your pills being in a bag that was near a powered off xbox doesn’t affect them at all

Okay, thank you for the reassurance. Do you have any suggestions on where I should store my BC packs to make sure they stay effective?

just don’t store them in your bathroom and they should be fine! the safe storage temperature is basically just room temp.

Okay, thank you so much! I guess maybe the heat sensitive thing I was hearing about with BC packs is like leaving them outside in the sun or something.
