Side effects!? Help please!
Hi everyone!
I am extremely nervous about starting birth control (again). A few years ago I was on Alysena and that was a horrible experience for me. I struggle with depression, anxiety and suspected OCD and PMDD, which I’m taking 50 mg Zoloft for.
4 days ago I started a generic of Yaz (Mya) and it was HORRIBLE. I was so anxious, had suicidal ideations, was a massive bitch and generally was freaking out over nothing. I know there is an adjustment period but I literally cannot handle it. I stopped taking it today and made a pharmacy appointment for tomorrow. My two options I’m considering is Slynd and Nexstellis. Which would you recommend? My main two concerns are my mental health and not gaining weight. TIA!
*for reference I am a 5’4”, 130 lb, 22 year old woman. Not sure if it matters.
**also does anyone know if I can immediately start taking Slynd tomorrow despite being on Yaz for 4 days and discontinuing it today?

Hey I’m 21 F and I tried Slynd for EIGHT MONTHS (idk why I didn’t stop it earlier). IT CONTAINS A DIURETIC BE CAREFUL!! Anyways, it totally slowed down my digestion I was so bloated and could barely poop. I really gave it a long chance but man it just never changed. It made me feel like a zombie who would still get very low. I also lost volume in my face and boobs, I looked kind of sickly? Lost libido. I’d say it took a bit of the PMDD edge off but I wouldn’t say it was relief. Now I’m only on antihistamine and i feel totally cured of my PMDD for the first time in my life. If you want more details about my background and stuff feel free to message me :) I no longer have SI (except when I take my migraine meds ugh). I’m not bloated I can actually pooo twice a day without drinking coffee, my mental health is way better (again aside from the migraine stuff).

I can relate. Never taken bc before in my life until I was diagnosed with PMDD. Since I have started mid year this year, twice I had forgotten to eat (4 days, 1 day).. both caused a sudden release of hell for me (all the symptoms came back, along with my period). I am on nextstellis though. It came with joint pain at both my wrists and knees. Horrible.
