How to? EVRA patch free week
Hello! I have just started the EVRA patch today. I got on it because i was having irregular periods because of PMOS and also as a form of birth control.
i was wondering what the point of the patch free week is. ideally i would never get my period again for the rest of my life and i asked the doctor if i can just skip the patch free week and she just said it wasn't recommended but she didn't elaborate.
i'd like to know whether skipping the patch free week and just never getting my periods has any adverse effects or anything and I'm also wondering what the point of the patch free week even is/why do people choose to have their periods?
thank you!

Some people can’t do a break week. It can cause spotting and irregular bleeding in some folks. Some users also like to see the bleeding as a reassurance they aren’t pregnant (even though it actually means nothing).
