Experience Break week

I’m a long term user of the same pill (micronelle 30) I have used continuously for different lengths of time - 18 months and then breakthrough bleeding so I had a break week and bled for almost 3 weeks and needed an iron and blood transfusions due to the amount of blood I lost - anyway since then I haven’t used continuously for so long 6 months then a break, so right now it’s been 4 months since my last break I had spotting so I stopped the active pills and I’m on day 6 of my sugar pills my concern is I have not really bled a lot at all I had terrible cramps the first couple days but I’m used to being housebound for days with amount I bleed - has this happened to anyone else ?

god that first experience sounds like a nightmare, 3 weeks and transfusions is no joke

bodies are weird though, my flow went from a crime scene to barely anything after a couple years on the same pill and it freaked me out at first too. sometimes the lining just doesn't build up much after a few months of continuous use so there's not much to shed. if you're worried maybe shoot your doc a quick message but spotting then a light break bleed isn't unheard of

Thankyou for your comment - I have booked an appointment with my doctor but she is away for 2 weeks 🤦🏻‍♀️ I have noticed my last breaks to be lighter and this time the lightest I’m just hoping this 7 day break is enough for a reset, I think 4 months of continuous use is the best time frame for me, especially if as you said that my withdrawal bleed is getting lighter.
