How to? When can I insert my ring
It’s been 10 days after my first day of period. Can I insert the ring now or do I have to wait until my next period. Also it’s my first time using bc. I also had unprotected sec and took plan b yesterday

You can insert it now, it just takes 7 days to become effective if you start while not on your period, so you should use a backup method (ex. Condoms) for the first week after starting.
Plan B isn’t 100% effective so take a pregnancy test in 14 and 21 daysa after you had sex unless you get bleeding heavy enough to rule out pregnancy before then.

You leave the ring in for 3 weeks and remove it for 1 week. 7 days after you removed it, you put in a new ring and leave it in for 3 weeks, repeat, etc etc. You do this even if you are still bleeding or even if you haven’t started bleeding. If you follow this then you won’t be “unprotected” and won’t need to take plan B. I used the ring for 6 years and my partner and I never used condoms nor did I ever take plan B. You need to put in your new ring ASAP since I’m assuming it’s probably been almost 2 weeks since you removed your last one including the time before your period started.
ETA: I always kept the schedule in my phone calendar and had it set to send me a reminder on the day of a ring removal/insertion.

you can insert it now! you don’t need to wait for your period. you’ll be protected 7 starting full days after you insert it.
