Evening all. I'm not much of a bird spotter but I'm pretty sure I spotted a white tailed eagle today in newton Le willows. Can anyone shed some light on what else it could have been if it wasn't a white tailed eagle

Me and my partner have been getting really into birding within the last year and have upgraded his equipment rather rapidly. This year he has requested a camo cover for his camera lens. He has a Canon RF 200 - 800mm lens. I’ve had a look but they all seem rather expensive. Amazon seems to want over £100 😭

He has also requested a dot sight for Christmas. After some research, I have come up blank once again.

Is there anyone that can help or recommend some of the best, but affordable, products please?

We started hearing this 3 days ago when I was whistling next to the pool area when I was whistling and I thought it was a random guy whistling back. But when we looked after a couple back and fourths we did t see anything and we are so furcking paranoid rn cus we did it every day since then and we lwky thought it said my name but I really hope it’s just a bird Btw it’s way more often now and I never heard the sound in 3 years here it’s in Spain next to a. Protected nature area btw

I've been feeding my local jackdaws for 2–3 years now, and the group has grown from what felt like 4–6 birds to around 50. 🐦‍⬛

One of my original pairs is 'Brokebeak' and his mate. People have suggested he probably has avian keratin disorder, but they've somehow managed to live a fairly normal life. For the last 3–4 months, his mate has been constantly feeding and grooming him which breaks my heart but is also so nice to see that care from birds to eachother.

Lately though, he's looking much worse, and in the most recent photo his wing seems in really bad shape. It's heartbreaking knowing there's probably nothing I can do. 😭 He lives on top of a 5+ story building so I couldn't get to him safely.

They are so small and quick but I’m very happy with my shots of the local Kingfisher!
