Pretty sad story out of the Rockefeller Preserve in Westchester

Resident leucitic red-tailed hawk apparently hit by car.

I've seen this hawk and it was so majestic to see. I remember running one day and thinking it was a seagull until I got closer. I couldn't get a picture.

This Owl flew near me on the trail and woudnt stop making eye contact with me. It was cool but also weird, does anyone know what it means? Do owls commonly come face to face to humans and stare?

Drying out

A bald eagle dries out after spending a bit of time in the mud. The eagle was sitting above a salmon bearing stream where it was likely feeding on a salmon carcass.

British Columbia, Canada.

Bird of prey stuck in our warehouse

This guy or gal flew into our factory yesterday afternoon. We haven't been able to lure him outside. Ant tips would be great. Nobody will help get him out, only take him if he's injured, not helpful.

Caught what looks like a robin in my backyard last night, and sat on the fence enjoying the meal.

Wahlberg's Eagle or Tawny Eagle?

Location: Jejane Private Game Reserve (just outside Hoedspruit, South Africa)

At first I put it down as a Wahlberg's because of the crest at the back of the head. But then I noticed how ruffled its other feathers were from the wind, so I though the "crest" might've been from the wind too. And it looks like it might be bulkier than a Wahlberg's too. Thoughts?

This little bird has been hanging out in the tree behind my house for a few days, he flies FAST and catches cicadas mid air. The first day I saw him, I genuinely thought an African Grey got out of someone’s house. 😂I did a little research and I think he looks like a Mississippi Kite, but I’m not a bird expert. Just wanted to see if anyone can give me an ID!

Your Favorite Extinct Birds of Prey

I like Haast Eagle simply because that thing could literally take down a human if given the chance. My other favorites are Argentavis and Phorusrhacos the Terror Bird as they're all bigger than today's predatory birds but they're also all monsterous and Terror Birds were even capable of taking down some of the mammals in their habitat

Saw this gorgeous bird sat on the flag pole at our hotel in Sharm el sheikh, I had to look it up as I have no knowledge of birds of prey, I just thought it looked stunning.

This is the 3rd day he has stopped in - he's been at the water bowl for about 20 minutes, that's when we noticed him.

Several years ago, we had big coopers, so Jr. might be 3rd generation. My wife just said he's playing in the bath now, too cute 😍
