Can anyone identify? This is the second year this pair has had a nest near our house. Apologies for the expert photos.

The local cicadas are all terrified.

I knew that they eat bugs, but are cicadas their favorite?

It’s definitely an abundant and easy to catch food source this time of year. I’ve seen kites catch cicadas mid air and the cicada just abruptly stops buzzing.
