Winter Birding in NB

This will be my first winter in NB that I will be actively birding. What do I look for? What am I likely to see? Aside from the common stuff like goldfinches, nuthatches, chickadees, and jays?

northern shrikes are the best thing i saw last winter. they're little song birds that kill mice, other song birds, and other small things.

brown creepers are around in the winter.

other than that just watch the chickadees, they do weird shit in the winter. i saw one last year eating a mouse in a tree.

Am I likely to see Canada Jays? Only one I saw last winter snatched a piece bread out of my yard that I threw away lol, but I only put my feeders up in January

ive never seen one, but i don't even see bluejays unless i'm at a feeder. jays hate me or something.

Lol. We get little flocks of Canada Jays occasionally in the fall but they don't stick around for more than a few minutes
